Heading to Chicago soon
I am getting ready to head to Chicago at the end of April, I will be attending the H&H wholesale show and also the Fiber & Fabric Festival - will any of you be there at all?

It took 5 years, but I finished the Town & Country Quilt by the Gourmet Quilter! I plan to use it as a show & tell for some newbie quilters at an informal class on appliqué. I’m in Corpus Christi, TX, USA. Still quilting and sewing with WAY too many projects needing finished. Just finished quilting & binding this cute “floor covering” for a friend.

Please Introduce yourself!
Welcome to GourmetQuilter Studio Corner - a community for quilters, creators and more. Please take a moment to introduce yourself below. What we would love to know: where in the world are you? what sort of quilts or other delicious items do you like to make? what are you working on right now? what does your workspace look like - maybe add a picture? Please also use this space to welcome other quilters in. Thanks, looking forward to meeting you all.

What a fun space to meet and share with other quilters! I am based in the beautiful village of Kinloch, in the centre of the North Island NZ. I learnt nearly everything I know about quilting from SusanClaire when I was lucky enough to work for her as a teenager, many years ago now. I make mostly pieced quilts, applique is not my fave technique, and anything from smaller projects with my young girls to larger ones that now take up many shelves and wallspaces in our home! At the moment, my workspace is combined with my actual work office, so things move from one side of the desk to the other depending on what hat I am wearing at the time. Like most, I would like to wear my creative sewing hat more often than I get the chance to, but I have a part time job, and two young girls to raise and a husband to feed so I make the most of the small blips of time in my space when I can get them.
