VNS for kids
Hi. Am new to this community.. My friend's 6 yo son has auditory hypersensitivity and was adviced for Auditory protocol which caused dysregulation. They suggested that a VNS protocol would help and suggested for VNS device that is clipped to tragus with gradual increase in impulse. I was bit skeptical and wanted to check here if device is safe for kids? I already do some breathing exercises. This Uvula test, does it vary from time to time? Pls suggest what could be implemented for kids that gives best results.

I regularly do vsn on children and it's 100% safe if done correctly. I use it alot in my clinic for children with sensory processing disorder, autism and adhd, I also use acupuncture to calm the nervous system. Start slow and low that's my main advice as too much at once can do more harm than good.

I'm slowly learning about the vagus nerve, I am a chinese medicine Dr and I treat alot of mental health and pediatric patients with Autism. I came accross information on the Vagus nerve when I bought a dolphin neurostim set and although they provide some informationon how to use there pens to stimulate the vagus nerve I feel that there is alot of missing information in there training. So I'm exploring other training and reading everything I can to provide better care for both my patients and my own ADS child. It looks like you have alot of resourses I can't wait to get started
