How can I post online an orchestral mock-up containing the original work?
Hey guys! I have a question. I recently made an orchestral version of an Evanescence song containing the original track. Basically, I added some orchestral and bagpipe parts to the song. Is that a way to post it online without getting a copyright claim?

@Alex Pfeffer Hey Alex! Thank you for your quick insight!
Need professional and dramatic profile pictures? - Try this!
Hey music crafting people, in case you need some great profile pictures or anything, try this in ChatGPT. Upload a selfie, then use this prompt: A cinematic double exposure of a man in profile, with a post-apocalyptic cityscape inside his silhouette. The inner scene shows the man walking through a destroyed, burning urban street, buildings in ruins, glowing embers and fire, with a dramatic sunset in the background. Moody lighting, warm tones, emotional and introspective mood, high detail, 8K resolution Another example would be: Create a high-contrast black and white close-up portrait of the referenced man. The image should depict only the left half of his face, partially submerged in water, with water droplets and bubbles visible on his skin and hair. Illuminate the left side of the face dramatically, casting the rest into deep shadow. dark background. detail in skin texture, beard stubble, and eye focus to evoke a moody cinematic atmosphere. I:1 orientation Both results attached to this post.

@Sean Walsh, It looks great! Did you do the music for the trailer as well?
Advice needed
I came across the library DramedyBox recently. I saw among their requirements the Neoclassical Dramedy style. I made some tracks in this genre that have some action/trailer music influences. But I have also been working with the guys from Studio Fontána in recent years. I have several albums published by them, and they are generating royalties. My question is, which library should I pitch to? Which seems a better choice, strategy-wise?

@Alex Pfeffer They both offer 50/50 splits on royalties. Studio Fontána is bigger than Dramedybox, with more credits. I'll pitch Fontána first, and if they don't need it, I'll try DramedyBox. When I prepared my files for the pitch, it popped into my mind that it would be a better choice to send them to Studio Fontána since I know how things are going with them. Thanks for making it clear! Appreciate it! :)

@Alex Pfeffer First off, thanks for this amazing challenge! It gave me a huge creative boost; I wrote several pieces of additional music that ended up in my video game reels. Your feedback was insightful, as always. For me, the picture felt quite dark, and I thought that it was a night scene. That is why I went with the overall instrumentation to give it a dark, night feel to it. I imagined it as a quest that our protagonist has to take to arrive at that castle. 😀 Compared to CY's track, I understand why he has won the challenge. His composition was much more ambient and smooth. It worked very well with the picture. So, congrats, CY, well deserved! 🙂
