Myth: Cardio is the answer for women over 40.
Fact: It's making it worse. Let’s clear something up: Cardio is not the golden ticket to fat loss… and for many women over 40, it might actually be working against you. Here’s the myth:➡️ “If I just do more cardio, I’ll lose weight.” Here’s the reality:Your body isn’t the same as it was in your 20s. Hormones shift, recovery changes, and your metabolism becomes more sensitive to stress. And excessive cardio? It’s basically stress in workout clothes. When you stack long cardio sessions on top of an already busy, high-stress life, your body can respond by: • Holding onto fat (especially around the midsection) • Breaking down muscle (which slows metabolism) • Increasing fatigue and cravings Not exactly the goal, right? So what actually works? ✨ Strength training becomes your best friend. It builds lean muscle, which boosts your metabolism and helps your body burn more calories at rest. ✨ Short, intentional cardio (not hours of it).Think walks, intervals, or conditioning workouts that support your body… not drain it. ✨ Recovery + nourishment.Sleep, protein, and managing stress are just as important as your workouts. Think of your body less like a calorie-burning machine… and more like a hormone-balancingecosystem. You don’t need to punish it into change. You need to support it into thriving. If you’ve been living on the treadmill and not seeing results… it’s not because you’re not working hard enough. It might be because it’s time to work smarter 💛

I use to dance and sing the majority of my life. But life happened, adulting happened and I forgot how to be me. So this is another tool to help me on my journey. I’m LA. I’ve loved music my whole life I always loved to dance and sing. At gathering we generally get up and dance. It feels wonderful to let the music flow thru you.
