Gents- I need some help. I have been invited to a formal black tie charity event this weekend. Not going to lie, it’s been a long time since I’ve attended something like this. I have a few fragrances in mind, but would love some input from you all. Pls choose form the options below on what you’d suggest I wear. Or comment below what you think would be fitting. Thanks!

Maison Asrar III Thriller — After 1 Week Maturation & 8-Hour Wear Review
Scent: ★★★★☆ (4/5) Maison Asrar III Thriller opens with a bold, vibrant character — spicy, slightly gourmand nuances balanced by a warm woodiness. After a week of resting in the bottle, the sharper top notes have rounded into something smoother, and the heart blends with a pleasant creamy nuance that makes it feel sophisticated yet bold. It’s not overly sweet, but it leans rich and inviting with a subtle oriental flair. The overall profile is intriguing without being polarizing — appealing to those who enjoy spicy-sweet blends that aren’t too dense. Longevity: ★★★★☆ (4/5) This one lasted a solid 8 hours on my skin with noticeable presence throughout the day. By hour 6–7 it settles closer to the skin but doesn’t disappear completely — just shifts from projecting to a more intimate warmth. On clothes it lingers noticeably even after the skin has softened, which is a good sign if you like prints that stick around. Sillage: ★★★★☆ (4/5) Initial projection is moderate to strong, especially in the first 2–3 hours — people around you can catch whiffs without it being overpowering. After that, it transitions to a moderate sillage, staying noticeable in close proximity but not turning heads down the hallway. It strikes a comfortable middle ground: present, noticeable, but not disruptive. Overall Maison Asrar III Thriller delivers a rich, well-blended scent with impressive performance. It’s versatile enough for casual days or evenings out, and the maturation smooths out rougher edges to make it more refined without losing personality.

Oud Zarian and Virgin Island Water are my favorites
What should I buy?
Brothers, I need your help. I’m looking to buy one of the 3 fragrances. Which should I go for? Personal pros and cons below. 1- ENCRE NOIR 100ml. £20.99. Pros: Cheapest. Sound like my kind of fragrance (“the scent that Dracula would wear”). Likely the funniest outcome. Cons: Blind buy. 2- LE BEAU LE PARFUM INTENSE 75ml. £53.99. Pros: Wife and I like the scent. Good saving. Good bottle. First JPG. Cons: Not had a full wear test. Fruity fresh marine-like scents tend to fade on me. 3- COLONIA EDC 100ml. £65.99. Pros: Great scent. Great pedigree. Great saving. A classic. Cons: Terrible performance. Still most expensive. Help me BoS. You’re my only hope.

BOS Story Poll Series – Question 5
The response to Question 4 showed the depth of thought within this brotherhood. We don’t just wear fragrance — we study it. We evaluate it. We challenge it. And most importantly, we respect the craft behind it. Now we step into deeper territory. Tonight’s question moves beyond scent profile, beyond projection, beyond longevity. This one touches principle. As we continue this Level 8 study toward Level 9, we have to wrestle with the harder conversations — originality, execution, loyalty, ethics, value. If a clone performs better than the original… does that change the ethical equation? There’s no simple answer — and that’s exactly why this discussion matters. Take a moment to reflect before you vote.Your voice adds weight to the study.Your perspective sharpens the brotherhood. This is how we grow. Thank you, brothers. 🔥

I don't have any ethical thoughts about using dupes, all bigger brands uses ideas and steal scent profiles from other brands nowadays. The dupe brands just do it a lot more.
