@Joshua Rogers My hands, I found, have rhythm, but not my individual fingers. (Strumming, singing melody, and grabbing chords did not develop rhythmic fingers needed for playing melodies). Classical, jazz, some folk, and other styles taught me my metronome needed to direct my individual fingers. Left hand finger independence, preparation, hovering, pressing gently, releasing, and respecting rests and note lengths all required practicing all this with my metronome. (Sixteenth notes, as in your Canon in D, demanded this left hand finger coordination discipline). Right hand finger thumb preparation, muting, etc also needed rhythm training. I finally realized, my guitar required me to use my metronome and fingers working together to create music with rhythm. Just my experience. Every guitarist learns what they need in their own way. For me, my fingers, not just my hands, needed to follow my metronome. NBN got me thinking a new way. Note by note required my fingers to get flying rhythmically…finger by finger! Many thanks.

@Joshua Rogers You say what I mean! Anything that trains each finger to ‘fly’ independently and true is good for any musician, no matter the instrument. For guitar, such efforts are especially rewarding!
New Course in the Classroom
Hi fellow conquerors! I have just created a new 5 chord course showing you how to play 7th chords. When we first start out on guitar we usually tend to focus on major and minor chords. Usually dominant 7th and minor 7th chords follow. The new course will teach you how to play: C7 A7 G7 E7 D7 All of the note names are in the title of each lesson. Make sure to say the name of the chord as you play it. This honestly helps you to remember the name of the chord. Go forth and conquer!

A Major needs F# minor for 6th degree rather than B minor.

Update to G major course in Classroom
Big thanks to @Larry Marchant for letting me know that several chords were missing from this course. I’m happy to say I’ve added the missing chords! Keep those fingers flying!

F# diminished is a good stretch. Thanks!

A Major chords…F# minor is the sixth chord. Is someone trying to trick us a little? Larry
More Chords please - A7, D7, E7 etc.
I just changed my vote from ‘changing chords’ to ‘more chords’. Many pieces require 7th chords, and the examples in your NBN book are easy and very helpful. Sharable for sure. And very playable!
