I love it. I'm trying to get this across to my students at college - use a metronome!

@Larry Marchant So true. Sometimes we need to try different approaches in order to learn something because we all have our own ways of remembering or assimilating new knowledge. What works for one person mightn’t work for another.
New Course in the Classroom
Hi fellow conquerors! I have just created a new 5 chord course showing you how to play 7th chords. When we first start out on guitar we usually tend to focus on major and minor chords. Usually dominant 7th and minor 7th chords follow. The new course will teach you how to play: C7 A7 G7 E7 D7 All of the note names are in the title of each lesson. Make sure to say the name of the chord as you play it. This honestly helps you to remember the name of the chord. Go forth and conquer!

@Larry Marchant Loving your dedication. Metronomes are so good for measuring progress, helping with rhythm, and improving general musicianship.

@Larry Marchant thanks for that. I must've been rushing or something when I did that. I also changed vii which was C# dim instead of G# dim - nice catch!
Helpful online resource for Chord Conquers!

Thanks to GCC, I’m starting June with guitar in hand. Hope June starts the same for you. June celebration of guitar, chords, and music! 🎶 Play on!

So good to hear that Larry. I'll be adding the 7th chords either today or tomorrow!
More Chords please - A7, D7, E7 etc.
I just changed my vote from ‘changing chords’ to ‘more chords’. Many pieces require 7th chords, and the examples in your NBN book are easy and very helpful. Sharable for sure. And very playable!

Hi Larry, A good suggestion. I’ll add another course to the classroom that has a bunch of dominant seventh chords in it. Let your fingers fly!

I've been playing and teaching guitar for most of my life. During that time I've toured the world performing, gotten married, had three sons.
