Muscat Ramble?
Anybody remember this song? It was only played in one place in America! You knew you were in trouble because your basketball team was about to play Canton South HS! It was there fight song I think? We, over at Lincoln, thought it was a song to inspire WW-I soldiers? It was difficult for us to warm up and not do the can-can?

Too funny...you and Rick Haverstock with your Canton South stories
Your Favorite Song
My favorite song (at least for today) is Living For the City by Stevie Wonder....if you don't know it, play it and tell me what you think of it...fantastic storytelling of the Great Migration of blacks to the northern city...never really liked Stevie but discovered this song in old age (now)

One of my favorite songs "At This Moment" by Billy Vera and the Beaters - became a #1 hit but it took 7 years! Thanks to the TV show "Family Ties"
🎧 New Podcast! "Ep 61: From Church to Charts"
Some of the biggest artists didn’t start on big stages… ...They started in church. The latest episode of MTM is live in the classroom! Before the fame, before the charts, before the spotlight…it was choir rooms, Sunday mornings, and learning how to feel the music before performing it. This episode hits on something deeper than just songs… 👉 How roots shape sound 👉 How early influences stick with you 👉 And how music can carry meaning long before it carries success Where were you when music first meant something to you? Was it church? A family car ride? A certain artist or song that stuck? Share below and be a part of our journey through time in The Music Time Machine!

it's incredible how much popular music came out of the church - Elvis, Whitney Houston, Little Richard, Sam Cooke, and on and on
