Where is your employee experience leaking?
If you are seeing: šŸ”·High performers frustrated šŸ”·Managers avoiding hard conversations šŸ”·Inconsistent accountability šŸ”·People unclear about expectations šŸ”·Burnout creeping in Your issue likely sits in one of these pillars. Which of these do you think is weakest in your organization right now? P.S., this will give me ideas for focus in future posts and education

belonging isn't squishy
Many business leaders think belonging is squishy, but it is really structural and necessary. What It’s Not: - Pizza parties - Matching T-shirts - ā€œWe’re like family hereā€ What It Is: šŸ‘‰ I feel seen. šŸ‘‰ My voice matters. šŸ‘‰ My manager has my back. šŸ‘‰ I know where I stand. šŸ‘‰ I’m included in decisions that impact my work. When belonging is weak, people get quiet, high performers disengage, conflict is avoided, and people leave. Most leaders think they have belonging because they’re ā€œnice.ā€ But belonging is built through consistent leadership behaviors: - Clear expectations - Fair treatment - Follow-through - Recognition - Growth conversations šŸ‘‰ Question for you: Where in your organization does belonging break down most often? - New hires? - Frontline managers? - High performers? - Remote employees? - Something else? Drop your thoughts below. Let’s unpack it together. Also: Check out yesterday's post on time management and share your thoughts.

For us, I observe this in our high performers. I think they get taken for granted and I also think they don't often realize when the quiet cracking begins.

I used these this week as part of a stay reflection with someone who identified 'burnout' and we were able to home in on the EXACT language they needed to express themselves more succinctly!! SO helpful!! thank you!!! What It Is: šŸ‘‰ I feel seen. šŸ‘‰ My voice matters. šŸ‘‰ My manager has my back. šŸ‘‰ I know where I stand. šŸ‘‰ I’m included in decisions that impact my work.
