Ready to Trade Full Time
Well guys, I did it. I quit my teaching job as of yesterday. After 11 years being a PE Teacher... burnout got the best of me and I had to waive the white flag. I wanted to wait until I was a little more successful at trading but I just went on tilt about a week ago and said enough is enough. I do hope the fire comes back in me at some point and I can find a district I might be happier in down the road. But if I can make this work I may never look back! So wish me luck and let's do this!

@Jonathan Ferrier I did give the Algo a try but only for 2 weeks as I was using the tradovate trial and it didn't work out for me. However, I may give it a go again in the future. Would be nice to have a set it and forget it money machine.
Encouragement
I almost gave up on this PA account. Came close (twice) to blowing it. I had to step back and SLOW DOWN, then re-focus. I want to take this account to the max payout. #keepgoing

Great Job!
Suggestion for Last Son
@Kyle Henris Hi Kyle, I realize that there is a visual alert in the last son displaying the MSS and the Long and Short symbol, but I was wondering if there is a way to create a sound alert along with it if we are not sitting physically in front of the chart at the time. It may already be an option and I don't know how to activate it but I thought I'd ask. My husband has an indicator called a diverge alert that notifies him of divergence between NQ and YM that makes a sound to let him know his strategy may be setting up. I was wondering if it's possible to do the same for us or if it can be added? It is pretty helpful. Only 10 more school days until I can be in full swing with all of this. I'm genuinely looking forward to the summer break and seeing what is in store. It would make me very happy to be able to notify the school in August that I'm not coming back.

@Stephen Gerald Onyia Thank you!
OK...NOW I'm nervous
I made my way to a funded account and I'm afraid to trade it 🙄. What's that about? Instead of trading that today I purchased another evaluation instead..Made $800 in profit, so what am I so worried about? I do want to max out obviously and get the 5 accounts available so it's not all in vain. I didn't expect to be nervous about it though. I guess the fact that I might actually be seeing a ROI soon is freaking me out a little because if I screw it up this close to the finish line it will be pretty frustrating. The first time I passed and failed I just laughed it off because, well I probably never should have passed that eval in the first place. I think I just got lucky, but it still sucked when I blew the funded. Just lit $200 on fire but I took it with a grain of salt. Since that time I've really tried to understand the market structure better and I do seem to be seeing things I didn't before. I will say this, my husband is using a different strategy and I blow him out of the water. I feel kinda bad for him. OK.. I'm lying it's actually kind of funny! He hasn't had a green week yet and we've been at it since the end of January. I'm grateful to have found InvestCEO. Don't think I'll be able to trade again until Sunday night anyway so maybe I'll calm down by then. I'm sure once the first payout comes it will get easier. 😆 I just don't want to screw it up, these evals aren't cheap!

@J K @Kyle Henris @Stephen Gerald Onyia Thanks guys. I did decide to take a couple trades after lunch on the PA... UP $720 off to a good start. I bring my risk to break even too early so I have to work on that. Keep stopping myself out of what could be killer trades.

@Jonathan Ferrier not yet, have to have 5 days over $150 first and leave enough wiggle room for the draw down. I'm having a harder time because I'm stuck trading Asia. Trying to be patient for the next couple weeks so I don't blow it. Some nights Asia trends well but I'm usually in bed by the time it does. I'm trying to stop forcing the trades during the choppy sessions.
Topstep
G'day! Does anyone use Topstep? How has your experience with them been lately? Thanks 😁

I have my charts set up on TV but I use Topstep for execution. I have found that when I connect TV to my broker there seems to be a lag all be it brief but a lag none the less. Topstepx is one of the few brokers that mirrors TV. It is important to note that you cannot use any of the custom indicators on Topstepx directly so if that is important to you it will be something to consider. I personally use a couple screens anyway so it doesn't matter. If I was using Tradovate I would just connect directly to them as well rather than connecting through TV. No broker lets you switch platforms once you choose the one you want to use. If you link through Tradovate, then for the duration of the account or PA you are stuck with Tradovate/Wealthcharts/Tradesea/Quantower etc. so I don't really understand the problem people have saying TopStep traps you into their platform. They all offer a limited choice and once you decide that's it. Granted, there IS only one choice, but if you plan to use a copy trader in the future to link other platforms then that won't matter anyway. I think it's pretty user friendly and being I'm still in the learning phase it works well for me. Just my two cents.
