Real Talk: The Hardest Part About Being a CrossFit Coach..
Be honest… what’s the hardest part of being a CrossFit coach? We all got into this to help people, but let’s face it: - You constantly feel like you need to ‘prove’ yourself. - Balancing coaching & your own training is TOUGH. - Programming & scaling for every athlete can be overwhelming. - Coaching full-time but struggling to make a real income? Even harder. The good news? Every great coach has felt this. Drop a comment 👇 with the part you struggle with most—I’ll reply with my top tip to help you out.

Overall, where I see my struggles/challenges the most as a CrossFit Coach are in time management! This is not only within classes, but when preparing for classes as well. When preparing for classes/formulating my class plans, I am always looking for novel approaches to bring to each class to help keep things exciting! Ultimately though this tends to lead me down a variety of rabbit holes and take up a lot of my time. Within classes, I always strive to teach the fundamentals of the movement, as well as leave some nuggets of gold for anyone willing to listen. This obviously becomes a struggle when there are 4, 5, 6+ movements in a WOD! (How could we possibly go over teaching every movement for the Filthy 50, throwing in little easter eggs for each one, AND get the class in and out in an hour?) That's my challenge right there (LOL!) BUT, why do I put so much time in? I strive to educate and keep members safe number one, but also keep folks interested and wanting to come back for the little snippets of knowledge throughout the class! All that to say, I find the amount of time I spend preparing for the workouts a worthy cause, and not something I will likely change drastically right away, BUT time management as a whole (within and outside the class) is definitely something I find the most challenging right now.
