Why didn't Marcus Aurelius write about Hadrian in his Meditations?
Hadrian is the emperor who recognized the promise in young Marcus and set about the succession plan that had Marcus ascend to the throne. Yet when Marcus is giving thanks to everyone in the first book of his Meditations, Hadrian is conspicuously absent. Why do you think that is?

Maybe the Emperor Marcus aurelius thought being an Emperor was a duty or command from Emperor Hadrian

Greetings My name is Lamees , you can call me by my Roman name Lucillรจ . After being disappointed with religions , I adopted science and naturalism philosophy, but science alone couldn't solve my personal issues and how to interact in difficult situations .spend several years of my life being irreligious with no map, till I found the map that managed my life and it was Stoicism. as of right now I am adding little Epicureanism in my Stoicism . if we focused on science to know what is he meaning of life , we can only observe that species undergo the process of evolution for surviving . the key is " surviving " but how to live this life ? therefore the four cardinal Virtues was my map .I adored the three pillars in Stoicism ( logics , ethics , physics ) the path to Eudaimonia , we can add free from pain by the moderation virtue.
