Huge Win - My First AI Contract! 🔥
On June 01st I decided to go all in on AI Consulting and building. A month later I just got a 50% deposit for a $8k AI install 😎 Very thankful to AIS and what I learned here that got me the foundational knowledge to be able to pitch AI Automations for businesses. Plus I have another meeting tomorrow for a similar install. *UPDATE* The second opportunity is going ahead! $7.5k for this one, 50% deposit invoice is sent 😎 Lets go! 🎉

Congratulations, You give me hope!
Day 2 Project: Web Scraping with Firecrawl
I've been curious about scraping, but have never done it previously, and this lesson did a great job of explaining how it works and how to use it within Claude Code. It did not work perfectly on the first try. I hit a wall at one point, but that ended up being one of the most valuable parts of the exercise. Claude adjusted the approach and switched to using the website’s direct MCP to get the job done. That was the real lesson for me today: the tool matters, but knowing how to troubleshoot and change direction matters even more. This project gave me a clearer picture of how AI agents can collect, organize, and use live web data in practical ways.

Day 1 Newsletter
The build took longer than I thought but it was well worth it. I built this for our restaurant so it adds real value to us on a weekly basis. One thing I still need to do is create a library of photos so they are easily included moving forward. I placed the folder in OneDrive so she has access and can grab it and publish it on her own now when it does the weekly run. #AISChallenge

🚀New Video: Every Level of a Claude Second Brain Explained
Everyone wants an AI second brain, but almost nobody talks about the fact that there are different levels to building one, and the highest level isn't always the right one for you. In this video I break down all five levels of a Claude Code second brain, from a simple CLAUDE.md router all the way up to an always-on autonomous system, using my real Herk2 project as the example. The goal isn't to climb to level five. It's to find the lowest level that actually solves your pain so you stop re-explaining things and your agent always knows where to look.

@Nate Herk thanks for this insight. I don’t know about anybody else, but I have a problem where I tend to want to build the most complex solution then get frustrated when it doesn’t work for me or my situation. I’m Glad you broke this down the way that you did.
Two paths into AI work (which one is yours?)
Most YouTubers show you a single path into AI work: start an automation agency → take clients → sell automations. It works. I know because I built an AI automation agency and sold it. But it's not the only way in, and for a lot of you it's not even the best one. I made this video to break down the two real paths: The AI Career Opportunity Nobody is Talking About in 2026 Here's the quick version: Path A is the agency play. You go independent, take clients, build your own practice. Path B is the employment play. You become the most AI-fluent person in the room, and that's who companies want to hire or promote for AI work. If you're already employed, you become the obvious pick when an AI role opens. If you're looking to get hired, or move somewhere better, you walk in with real work instead of just claims. It's the less obvious path, but it's actually the more common one. The employment numbers (see the video) are shocking actually. Watch the full breakdown in the video. Then do one thing for me in the comments because I'm super curious: Tell me which path you are on. A, B, or both. And one line or so on why. I'll be reading these. Nate

@Nate Herk a bit of a hybrid approach. I’ve already become the go-to person in the company I work for and my wife and I own several businesses. This is our next venture….
