I felt completely stuck
I spent months spinning my wheels in my health and wellness coaching business. I had information and tools that I knew could transform people's lives for the better and help them thrive in ways they hadn't even imagined was possible for them. This information had transformed my own life completely. Yet, I didn't know how to package it, how to connect with the right people who could really benefit, or how to make my business financially sustainable. I hit some really low points. Felt completely burnt out at times. Spinning our wheels gets so tiring at times! I questioned whether I was up to the tasks and dreams that were living in my heart. At times, I considered letting it all go. It was ironically during one of my lowest points in my business that things started shifting for me. I realized I need support. I needed a coach...not a business coach, but a life coach who could help me navigate the uncertainly, the occasional disappointments, the limiting beliefs that were coming up for me. I didn't need a perfectly packaged business system or someone telling me how to do things their way. I needed someone to help me get clarity about my own knowing, someone to help me sift through the noise of business and marketing advice and take the right steps for me. The ones that come from my own heart. Some people claim that building a business is one of the most challenging spiritual paths available. I now understand why! Silly me, I thought parenting was the most challenging spiritual path available! Guess I gravitate towards the difficult things. That's where the most powerful transformations lie. Maybe. That's not always true. But, it's a nice story for someone who gravitates towards hard things sometimes. What I found was that I needed space to connect with my own knowing. I needed time to create my own plan of action. A plan full of steps that felt exciting for me and aligned with my goals and intentions. It was like the abstinence plan I created, but tailored to business growth.

@Vasi Smith I love this! What a powerful story of transformation!
Cold plunge - yes, no, maybe?
Many people, including my brother in law, swear by this wellness hack. It decreases inflammation, increases brain clarity, and makes the rest of your tasks of the day feel so much easier in comparison! He soaks for about 8 minutes a day in 45 degree water. Confession: I recognize the benefits of this practice, and yet I do NOT like feeling cold, esp as someone who’s had anemia, which makes you even colder. So, the only time I play with this is at a nearby hot springs where I can jump into a pool of 103 degrees after the cold plunge. I also do cold water at the end of showers and that feels pretty good.

I have family members that cold plunge. Some every day, some only 3x a week. They all swear by it!!

@Vasi Smith less overall pain and inflammation.
Yummy soup recipe!
I made this delicious Lentil Quinoa soup this evening. Added a teaspoon of ground cloves, in honor of @Angela Johnson , who has been experimenting with consuming more cloves to strengthen the mucosal lining of the gut. We can all use some more cloves in our diet! A strong gut lining supports gut health and prevents leaky gut. @Tiffany Noel Taylor, cloves might be a good thing for you to start experimenting with as well, I know you’ve been working on gut health too! I also used partially sprouted, well rinsed red lentils, even though the author said red lentils will absolutely not work in this recipe! They seem to work just fine. Those were the only lentils we had and the rebel in me really wanted to try it with red lentils, because the recipe said not to do that at any cost. Anyone else have an internal rebel who likes to do things sometimes just cuz someone said not to?!

I love Digger! When my kids were little, we had a pet bunny named Thumper (of course😂). He was the sweetest boy!

@Vasi Smith my kids were small and they named him because he'd thump for attention or if you stopped petting him! It was an appropriate name, lol!
Does chewing give you comfort? - a hack to try!
For some of us (hand raised high), the act of chewing is deeply comforting. It may even be part of the reason that food itself is so enticing and addictive for us. If you find yourself wanting to chew on something even though you know you’re not hungry, or if you want to extend your fasting window… oil pulling is something you can try. I used oil pulling today to stretch my fasting window by an hour. How to do it- Take a tablespoon of coconut oil or olive oil and swish it around in your mouth for ten minutes or more. You spit out the oil after the 10/15 mins and rinse out your mouth with water. That’s it! It uses the same muscles as chewing and as a bonus…it’s detoxifying for the mouth and your whole body. It can be really helpful if you have tooth pain as well, or if you’re starting to get sick. Here’s an article that goes more in depth about oil pulling, https://drjockers.com/benefits-oil-pulling/
