We'll spend some time checking in, celebrating wins, discussing challenges, sharing works in progress, and connecting with fellow artists from around the community. You don't need a finished piece. You don't need a perfect week. You don't need to have all the answers. Just bring yourself, a cup of tea (or coffee/ favorite beverage), and whatever you're currently working on. Art is often built one small step at a time, and community helps make those steps a little easier. Midweek check-in, friends. What’s currently on your desk, easel, sketchbook, or screen right now? Works in progress are often the part of creativity we don’t talk about enough. They’re the messy middle ~the experimenting, the adjusting, the moments where something isn’t quite finished yet but you can feel it starting to come together. Sometimes a WIP is exciting. Sometimes it’s frustrating. Sometimes it’s just quietly unfolding one step at a time. All of that is part of the process. While not my personal project I have participated. It is a fun challenge. They send you the 6x6 canvas and a limited palette depending on where they plan to put you in the mural. After that, it's all you. Some months later your painting is turned into a tile and added to the mural. I've circled my three.
