Open prompted writing salon
Fancy yourself a writer, or want to become more of one? Join me for a prompted writing salon on Thursday, August 13 @ 9 AM Eastern US/Canada and experience writing with the Gateless method! Our writing sessions give you a bit of direction and let you run with the rest of the story. We start by settling in so we can write from a more somatic state. After we share the prompt, you'll write for 15-20 minutes. When time's up, we invite writers to share what they wrote during the session. Here's the best part: When writers read, we shower them with everything that's working in their piece—absolutely no questions, criticism, or negative feedback. That's what makes Gateless so different, and it will change how you approach the page. Join us for free in The Write Hustle Writing Group during this extra open salon!

🚨 Well… the secret is finally out! 🚨
After lots of behind-the-scenes planning, chats, and a few “how are we going to make all of this work?” moments 😂 Des and I have now finalised the changes coming on 1st August. And I’m really excited about where this is heading. First up… a big thank you to everyone who has supported Skool Events Daily from the beginning 💜 All current Premium members will automatically be upgraded to VIP and you will keep your current pricing. Yes… you read that right. You’re being looked after because you have been part of this journey and helped us build what we have today. Now, what does VIP mean? Well… you’re going to have to watch the video for that one 😉 There are some exciting things coming, and we have been working hard behind the scenes to bring in more ways to increase visibility, support our event creators and continue growing this community. So what happens to Premium? Premium is changing. The new Premium option will be $5/month and will allow you to post one event per week. That’s it — simple and straightforward. Standard will remain free, allowing people to come in, browse events and get a feel for the community. These changes are all about creating the right structure as Skool Events Daily continues to grow. And believe me… there is a lot happening behind the scenes that we can’t wait to share with you. So if you’re currently Premium… congratulations, you’re becoming VIP 🎉 And if you’ve been thinking about joining premium, now is the time to do it as you will automatically get the VIP package on 1st August. More to come… 👀 Heather 💜

The replay from our first welcome call is up
Hey gang, I proud to say we ran the first Skool Events Daily welcome today (Friday) - and it turned into far more than an induction. We covered how to post your events properly (time zones, image sizes, the lot), how the weekly bulletin gets your events in front of 9,300+ Skool members, how the 30% affiliate scheme works, and a good stretch on organic growth - why consistently running events is still the most reliable way to grow a community. A big thank you to the members who came along and made it a proper conversation: @Chen Profesorsky - who made the point that referring just three members covers your premium membership for the year, and shared some genuinely useful thinking on landing pages and tracking your links. Check out Chen's community here: Gallstones Tribe @Kelli Howard - who asked the questions plenty of others will be thinking, especially around whether this works for B2C and specialist niches. (Short answer: yes, and we talked through exactly how.) You'll find Kelli's community here: Rooted Reset Rising Room @Devin Trent - great to have you along too. Devin's community is here: The Proactive Parent Community If the premium side of things came up for you on the call - the bulletin, replays, calendar placement — you can see the plans here: Premium plans The replay is below - worth a watch whether you're brand new or you've been here a while. And if you missed this one, we run the welcome call every Friday at 1 pm GMT. Come along to the next one - bring your questions. Des

Sorry to have missed this! I'm glad it went well, @Des Dreckett
The event format most of us have never tried
Most Skool events get one shot at attention in the feed, one post, one day, then it's gone. That's not about whether the event itself is any good. It's just what happens when you ask for someone's attention once instead of five times. A challenge is just an event stretched across several days instead of squeezed into one. Instead of "come to this on Tuesday," it's "do this one small thing, every day, for five days." Same event. Different shape. That shape changes everything. A challenge doesn't ask for one moment. It asks for five small ones, spread across five days - and by day three, people aren't attending your thing anymore; they're inside it. Not more content. More reasons to come back. If you've never run one, here's the shape of it, stripped down: 1. Post your event as normal. Calendar entry, the usual promotion posts - two weeks out, one week out, the closer reminders. None of that changes. The challenge doesn't replace your event posts; it fills the days around them. 2. Pick one outcome for the challenge itself. Not a topic - an outcome. "Write your first event title" not "event marketing tips." 3. Break it into five small steps. One per day. Each one doable in under 30 minutes. This is what happens after that first event post goes up - instead of people seeing it once and forgetting about it until the next reminder, they've got a small reason to come back the next day, and the day after that. 4. Give people somewhere to post. A thread, a comment section, anywhere they can share what they did that day. This bit matters more than the content itself. 5. Show up daily. Reply to people. Even just a comment. That's what keeps day two happening. 6. Have a next step ready for day five. Whatever you want them to do next - join something, book something, upgrade something - say it while they're still riding the win, not a week later. That's it. Your event still goes out the same way it always has. The challenge just gives people something to do in between, instead of going quiet until the next reminder lands.

This is brilliant! Thinking now about how I could implement this in my community and with my existing (non-Skool) email list, which is how I've seen it done before. But I LOVE the idea of hosting it in a Skool group. Thanks, @Des Dreckett
