"From a sales background to a yoga nidra guide"
One of my students spent years in marketing for radio stations. She used to call businesses all day, every day — cold outreach was just part of her world. Comment below: what skill from a completely different part of your life might actually serve this work? When she found yoga nidra, she didn't think "I'm not the type." She thought, "I know exactly how to share this." She's since applied that same confidence to walking into yoga studios and offering sessions, no hesitation — not despite her background, but because of it. You don't need a yoga background to become a guide. You need a nervous system that's been changed by the practice, and the willingness to share it. Whatever skills got you here aren't separate from this work — they're part of how you'll do it.

Anatomy and physiology college prof. I can see the implications for teaching students a renewed way of visioning the body.
You've been here before
Monday's Flame Keeper is still settling in me, in the best way, and today I want to introduce the next state we're exploring together. The Dream Weaver is the version of you that's rested, aligned, at peace... the one who knows how to start the morning, how to carry yourself through the day. You've been close to that version before, and then life pulls you sideways and you're back to wondering why you can't just stay there. It's tempting to think the answer is more discipline, a better routine. It usually isn't. The vision is already clear — your nervous system just hasn't learned how to live inside the dream yet. This is The Dream Weaver. SHARE BELOW | If you were part of Monday's gathering, what's one thing that shifted for you?

I was not at Monday's gathering, but the image of an internal flame has stayed with me since you introduced the topic. Reminds me of resilience.
New moon: from the flame to the vision
Tonight's new moon is traditionally a seed-planting moon... the darkest, quietest point before the next cycle of growth begins. It also marks something inside this community: we're moving from Flamekeeper season into Dream Weaver season. Comment your one-word intention for the next lunar cycle. I'll be doing the same. If The Flamekeeper is the mind that understands everything and still can't quite rest, The Dream Weaver is the layer just past it — the one who can see the life being created with clarity, and is learning to actually live inside it instead of just picturing it from a distance. Different state, same honest work. In yoga nidra we work with something called a sankalpa... a resolve planted in the deepest, most receptive state of rest, rather than forced through willpower in an ordinary waking state. Tonight is a good night to plant one. Over the next few weeks, we'll spend some time with what it means to be a Dream Weaver... whether that's you right now or not yet.

We tended a different kind of fire today. 🔥✨
If you were in the room for The Flamekeeper, you know the pattern we were naming... The version of us that runs everything through the head first. Overthinking every choice, every relationship, every next step... [ TUNE IN | HERE ] while the body waits somewhere in the background, unattended. We talked about the parts of us that never quite got permission to feel safe, or settled, or good, because the mind never handed over the mic. Then we stopped talking and practiced. Yoga nidra, journaling, a few honest minutes with each other in breakout rooms. Rest offered first... not as a reward for finishing the analysis, but as the starting point. If today cracked something open and you want that to become a rhythm rather than a one-time reset, that's exactly what the Peace in Rest Program is built for. And if some part of you today was less "I want to receive this" and more "I want to learn to hold this space for other people" — the Nova Nidra Teacher Training is for you! Grateful for everyone who showed up today and for those tuning in now!

What I am learning is how to listen to my body's signals rather than responding to them either by suppression/ ignoring or responding to them with some sense of panic resulting in greater movement and energy expenditure. My body has a greater capacity than I realize.

@Thomas Scheppat so glad you wrote this as I can so relate to the need to run, literally and figuratively. That is awesome you are trying a new approach and diet. Best wishes!
This Monday: Flame Keeper 🔥
This Monday, July 13th, we're gathering for States of Rest | Flame Keeper... a live session for anyone who understands so much and is still, somehow, quietly exhausted. It's built for that exact state: permission to put the flame down for a while. To be held instead of holding everything yourself. Comment "FLAME" if you're joining us, and share this with anyone who's carrying more than they're letting on. Only 2 more sleeps to reserve your spot!
