The Benefits of Martial Arts
When you train martial arts, you do not just improve your IQ (due to strategizing tactics), you also improve overall fitness. Where strength, intelligence, endurance, and strategy combine in order to provide an immaculate show. There is a reason that it is called Martial "Arts." Many may see it as a vicious sport, however, some see further. It is the mutual agreement of both parties engaging in physical activity with the understanding that there may be some pain. However, if it goes too far, there is an extremely structured system that healthcare professionals follow in order to ensure the health and safety of all fighters. Depending on the circumstance, there are different styles. If it is close quarters, boxing is oftentimes a strong skill. If there is more space, potentially a cage, then wrestling would likely be your best bet. There is a reason that boxers never have a successful career in UFC, and that reason is because it is for show. Whereas, wrestling, as long as they can take the first hit, will win every single time. Of course having an array of many different skills would be of most benefit to everyone. Longer arms is almost never a bad thing in the real world. Too much height makes your knees vulnerable. You will realize that there are so many things to think about. Sometimes, it is important to ignore most of it and just train regardless. This is because there is almost never a reason not to train. It is a very healthy and respectable sport/art. The goal is not to injure the opponent, but to win the match. What is your favourite Mixed Martial Art?

I do Capoeira, not sure that It counts!
Currently in Amsterdam
bro the hostel we are in is pretty brutal to be honest. Toilet is almost inside the shower, the bunk beds are like a foot apart, and the room is not very clean. In general, Owen and I have been able to find pretty cheap hostels/hotels, for with great but we screwed up for this one lol. There are so many canals, and beautiful buildings. If you guys want to visit Netherlands, it’s a no brainer to visit Amsterdam. Gonna go see a museum and maze today. We may get to see some real Van Gogh paintings. As for health, Owen n I are obviously going out some nights. But we ensure we still sleep in, get our greens, and move our body’s.

Travel Day 9: Arrived in Belgium 🇧🇪
Trained, ate amazing food, walked around and saw some cool buildings, did laundry and hitting the hay. We are literally averaging 30k steps per day… Tomorrow gonna checkout some cool stuff. Anyone from Belgium?.. or been there.

I am backpacking in Europe for 85 days
In two weeks from now roughly, I am catching a flight and heading to Europe with my best friend Owen. This will be a character building experience and don't worry, I will be sharing the journey on YouTube. I think what I am gonna do starting in two weeks is try and foster a community through a vlog style format with my friend where we talk about life, compare and contrast our food from home vs. in different countries, and highlight the benefits but also the negatives of travelling as a young man who is running a thriving online fitness community, trying to stay in shape, but also have fun and meet new people. I think you guys are all about a few years ahead or behind me in age, so it will likely be a pretty insightful experience for us all. Would you guys like to see vlogs for a few months instead of "How-To's" while I travel all throughout Europe? P.S. For some context, this video is Owen and I going on a 15 hours long road trip from Ottawa to P.E.I. Lemme know if you guys would wanna see something like this but obviously a bit more gym related.
