Art Journal Entry: Dancing Stars
I wrote this right before I started this community. I feel that you are ready for more, but I am scared. I am scared to be seen, to stand out, to be made fun of, and to be rejected. Give me time and space to grow. Slow down. Be present. And most of all, celebrate you and trust that everything will be okay. I want to create freely, without judgment, with honesty, and above all, Integrity Show up every day. Tell yourself you’ve got this. And don’t forget to dance under the stars. Much love. Jenny

✨ A Big Milestone for US ✨
I just had my very first published interview, and my heart is so full. For years, I’ve carried this dream of sharing my message beyond my workshop walls, into the world, into more hearts, into the hands of people who need it. This article feels like a doorway opening. A moment of being seen, heard, and supported in what I’m here to do: use creativity as a "tool" or "medicine", build community, and help others remember their spark. Thank you for being here with me. Thank you for witnessing this chapter unfold. If you’d like to read the article, here it is 💛 https://boldjourney.com/meet-jenny-landis/

@Jenny Landis it was fun to trick or treat without the rain! Two years ago it was miserable. Haha
Day 11: Share a piece of art, old or new...
that Still Means Something to YOU. What once lit us up might have served its purpose, a capture of a moment in time, a version of us that needed that moment. And that’s okay. Growth means allowing what’s meaningful to evolve. take a quiet moment to notice what still feels alive in your heart… and what might be ready to be released with love. 🕯️ Reflection prompt: “What in my life once mattered deeply but no longer feels aligned — and what new meaning wants to take its place?” For me it is: 1. 🖤 Black & White Heart: This piece was created during a time of deep darkness and confusion. Back then, much of my art lived only in shades of black and white, a reflection of how life felt. 2. 🪷 My first mural — painted for Homes of Harmony in a small village near Jilin, China. The space was run by a kind-hearted French couple who opened their home as a non-profit sanctuary. Creating their meditation room felt like painting peace into the walls. 3. 🎨 Collage with My Students: During my time living in China, I often felt disjointed and out of place. Art became my anchor. This collage was one of many pieces I made alongside my high school students while teaching art for six months — a reminder that creativity can always connect us, no matter where we are in the world.

My terrible paintings 🤣🤣 Always join in when the kids want to paint but I prefer to build Lego... As you can see also.

@Jenny Landis haha well yes but I'm never going to magically be any better at painting sadly.
Day 4: share a photo that feels like home
I was away all weekend on a ladies retreat at a private hot spring, but when I walked in the door I felt relief. I asked myself what did I miss, my bed, my family, my space… for me it is my space to pull some cards and spend time playing card games with my family. What is it that feels like home for you?
