Homework & Intro
Hey y’all! I’m Kia and I’m @DogMomPOV on socials. I’ve always loved to write and create. Back in the day I loved to create fan sites and create community around them...think B2K, Mario, and I even had a fan Tumblr for Big Sean when he wasn’t as well known as he is now and it got eyes on it and it became his official Tumblr for quite some time. I created a blog (comewagalong.com) about family life with a dog when I brought home my Mini Schnauzer 14 years ago and I created his own Instagram simply because I thought my dog was cute and I wanted the world to see him LOL It then blossomed into much more once a brand reached out to me out of the blue for a campaign. I also have several pet parent communities on Facebook. I rebranded a few years ago to DogMomPOV to give a dog mom’s point of view of life with my dogs. Some people may see a dog as “just a dog”, but I see dogs as family. My brand’s why is to create relatable dog mom content that helps pet parents who see dogs as family feel seen, feel joy, and less alone by sharing my moments with my furkids. Sometimes dog mom life is amazing and other times it can be ruff, pun intended :) I share that in funny make you smile relatable ways, serious real talk ways, and in a helpful dog mom tips type of way. My 3 brand pillars are: Joy. Support. Tips. A piece of content I’m proud of: https://youtu.be/NYQKVNh6LYk By the way this video only had like 200 views or less in 30 days when I first posted it last year, but then it took off (for me, I don’t usually get 1K views on longform) all of a sudden. I’m hoping to make more videos like this that get that same type of result more consistently. I want to focus more on YouTube and long form content. My short form content does pretty really well and I post that way more, but I want to learn how to get people to stick around for my long form content as well. I also want to get back to writing on my blog. I'm happy to be here and can't wait to learn more and connect with you all!

Hello Beautiful People!
T.G.I.F. Looks like I'm a little late to the party. Better late than never! My name is Danny. The "why" behind creating my content is to make education accessible. Being from a small town in the South, I know that many people cannot afford to advance their education through formal schooling. I am a firm believer that you do not necessarily have to be in a building with books and teachers in order to learn something. Education can come from anywhere! I work a traditional 8-to-5 corporate job, which gets very boring. One great way I find to break the monotony is by doing brain puzzles every day. I started posting whiteboard puzzles outside of my door, which, to my surprise, came with unanimous positive feedback. Most of the comments praised how much these puzzles taught them things they never knew before. My initial goal of not being bored at work changed into finding ways to educate people using fun puzzles! When creating my brand pillars, I'd love to center it around education, comedy, and relatability. I live by the concept of learning at least one new thing a day. A great way to accomplish this is by using teaching methods that are casual and comforting. Making people laugh while teaching them something is an effective way to retain information. The picture of the whiteboard is what I started doing for my coworkers every day. The reel is what I am intending to use as my social media content. I'm still VERY new to this, so I'm hoping to get any advice on how to make this more appealing to as many people as I can reach. Very much looking forward to meeting with you all and seeing the amazing creations that come from all of your innovative minds!

Hi Danny! Nice to meet you. I love what you started doing at work and how it taught them things and now you’re bringing it online! I wish you much success. I like your video and I got it right YAY!
hello, hello, hello!
Hi! My name is Theresa! I am a facialist and small-business owner with a private skincare studio going on 3 years! My why for content creation is, ultimately, my why for my business: to help women of color feel confident in their skin. Although, I have always seen content creation as a means to an end. It's always been the thing I know I *have* to do to help grow my business and reach clients. I really want to change that narrative and feel instead like content creation is something I get to do as a way to connect with clients. My brand pillars? So, this is definitely something I haven't totally honed in. I will share what my goal is on this front: cats, skincare, and calmness. Lastly, a piece of content I am most proud of! This is a video that took me like two weeks to put together lol but it also brought me a ton of clients to my business: TT link: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTUwju25C/ IG link: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWFSro9kjsh/?stkn=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Anyways, I'm excited to be here and learn from Fran! I've been a huge fan since her "how to apologize video" on YouTube! I don't know if that's a well known one but it was a great one that made me a lot better at apologizing. So, thanks so much Franchesca!

Intro!
Hi there! My name is Christina and I'm a former techie, always writer trying to figure out my next step. I’m going to be working on how my experiences and strengths can support my brand’s why’s - making people think, building community, and inspiring confidence (maybe change too?). My brand pillars are empathic, smart, and authentic. I have my own blog I’ve been writing in for years to an extremely small audience- shout out to my fam and friends. My most recent post is one I’m pretty proud of here. So excited to be on this journey with all of you!
