AI/Coding Skills : Moving Beyond Classroom Learning
Dave is making a real impact. The problem with many modern tech tutorial videos is that most creators focus on vague promises, general topics, or hype, which feels overly commercial. The classroom courses I took combined theory and practical techniques suitable for my level. However, I’d like to know what else I need to do to reach a higher level of expertise ?

@Oriol Fort My goal is to become proficient in the technical aspects of this field, focusing more on practical application than theoretical simulations. I recently asked about the next steps to take after completing all the courses on this platform. Regarding mathematics, I’m adopting a reverse learning approach: starting with core concepts, moving to coding, and then filling in gaps with advanced theoretical knowledge.

Why am I getting an OpenAI rate_limit_exceeded error when I haven’t reached my quota?
I have a valid API key and an active account, and I’m sure I haven’t used up my credits. Yet, my requests fail with a rate limit error. Could it be related to account email, API key setup, or location?

Just figured it out! The OpenAI API keys aren’t actually free. I used a Groq API key and made it compatible with the OpenAI library by changing the base_url.

@Santiago Delgado I wanted to use the OpenAI API in my code, but I discovered that it's not free to use. As a result, I decided to use the Groq API, which is designed to be compatible with the OpenAI base. However, the Groq API currently doesn't support structured outputs.
