1 Peter 1:3-25 for today as yesterday
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, 11 inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. 12 It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look. Called to Be Holy 13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, 15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 17 And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, 18 knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. 20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you 21 who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

@Tom Melton You’re welcome, Tom. Have a great week, brother!
It’s awful quiet in here…
I have been popping in here to see how my family is doing and it seems that it has gotten awful quiet. I have not seen many posts from everyone. I am hoping that everyone is doing ok and has made it into the new years safe and healthy. “Lord, in this new year help us to remember your promises and who you are. It is because of you that we can have hope because you are faithful. Let your faithfulness be the thing we remember and rely on. Let that be the source of our hope and joy. In Jesus’s name we pray,”

Thanks Darrel and Tom - I was just thinking about you two this afternoon. I know Adam has been traveling (will be at Protector’s Peak in Idaho in Feb), but it does seem that we are the only ones left right now.
2025
I’m not sure what all will happen this year, so far with the attack in New Orleans and the Trump Hotel, it’s started about like I expected. But what I am confident of is that God is God, and He is our salvation. How many times must we be told, do not fear, be confident, love, be patient, trust, serve, persevere, be resilient and pray before we do - before we are who we are called to be in this world? I’m not sure what @Adam Davis has in store for us this year either, but I expect it will be challenging and encouraging. I hope anyone left here who sees this has a year blessed by God’s grace and peace.

Thank you, brother! I pray we all dig deep into the Word and Spirit, and be who we must.
Christmas blessings
Lord, in this holy season of prayer and song and laughter, we praise you for the great wonders you have sent us: for shining star and angel's song, for infant's cry in lowly manger. We praise you for the Word made flesh in a little Child. We behold his glory, and are bathed in its radiance. Amen…. Here is hoping that all my family here have a safe, blessed and joyous Christmas with their loved one and family. We send prayers to all those that are far away from those they love hoping that they can be home soon. We pray that god watches over you all while we celebrate the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ. We pray that all conflicts come to a halt today and that the anger and animosity in the world turn to love and peace. It was written that a miracle happened on the battlefield during world war 1 when the troop laid down their arms and celebrated with each other on the battlefield . Let peace ring out through this world and let god our heavy my father heal this wonderful world he created and bring back peace and love throughout the land and bring his children back to his loving arms. Gif bless to all, merry Christmas, Felix navies, joyous Noel, no matter how you say it , god bless you all .

Merry Christmas, Brothers! “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” Galatians 4:4-5 ESV “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11 ESV
