Well said @Alexi Drouin In 2017 I pitched the National Science Foundation Seed Fund for an AI-driven Learning Design Engine to create personalized, immersive STEM education for youth. I didn't get the $1M grant because I didn't have a technical lead or a PoC (duh!). But the ideas have never left me since I grew up "allergic to algebra" and used stories to teach myself probability & statistics in my 30s so I could build a career in financial markets. Still so much work to do!

This is so inspiring. I've followed Alex for 2 years and read two of his books. He is one of only 3 people that I have Twitter notifications turned on for. Try it if you want your excuses kicked in the ass every single day. So I thought I would start with the Leila video because I don't know much about her and she starts with Vision, which is where everything should start with. Damn am I glad I watched this and thank you Alexi for building this fantastic group! Why am I stoked about Leila's vision? Because it is similar to mine for my Youth STEM Education projects. I grew up "allergic to algebra" and now make my living with math. But the way I taught myself probability and statistics in my 30s was with stories first, then I could look at the equations. For my free STEM schools, I want to have facilities across the nation to engage teens in story-driven math, science, and aviation (I learned to fly at 15).
