CDL Training
Here is a course that may benefit some folks trying to get their CDL license. https://www.kycdl.com/ They even have a course for Hotshot drivers that would be good for most of us.
START HERE: Stay Booked Out For Weeks With Profitable Jobs
Welcome to OWNR OPS 🤝 If you own a land clearing or forestry business and you want to stay booked out weeks in advance with profitable jobs using simple systems, not shiny objects, you’re in the right place. This group and trainings are built around my simple operating system - Revamp your pricing so you generate profit on every job - Make the phone ring consistently with a simple 3‑Step Lead Engine - Track a simple weekly scorecard so you know if you’re winning or losing and exactly what to fix next I use this same playbook in my own $1.4M land clearing / forestry business and it’s what guys like Colby used to go from roughly $400k to $850k while staying 4–8 weeks booked out. Step 1 – Introduce yourself (do this now) Comment below with: - Your name - Where you’re based - What kind of work you do now (land clearing, forestry, fire mitigation, etc.) - How many weeks you’re currently booked out - Use the photo template I posted Step 2 – Unlock the Free Kickstarter Training Go to the Classroom tab and follow the steps to unlock the “Free Kickstarter Training" Video series module In it, you’ll learn how you can copy the simple operating system behind my 7 figure business: - Revamp your pricing so every crew‑day makes profit - Build a 3‑Step Lead Engine (how to make the phone ring) - Use a weekly scorecard to see if you’re winning or losing and what to fix next week Watch these lessons this week so the livestreams & posts inside here actually click. Step 3 – Book Your OPS Onboarding Call If you want my eyes on your numbers and a clear plan to stay booked out weeks in advance with profitable jobs, book an OPS Onboarding call here: 👉 [Book Onboarding Call] On that call we’ll: - Look at your current revenue, backlog, and weeks booked out - Find the biggest bottleneck in your business - See if you’re a fit for OPS Training, my weekly training program for land clearing and forestry owners

@Michael Osborn I haven't used it but I am familiar with it. I almost purchased some of the premade marketing videos. I'm curious to hear what you think about it after you have had a chance to use it.

@Billy Malady I have called Bobcat and Caterpillar for a quote and Caterpillar is the only one that responded. I am going to rent the machine to start with before I buy. In fact, i'd like to rent 3 or 4 to see which one I like best. To minimize my initial investment I plan to buy a tooth bucket and a land plane for driveway work to jump start revenue and rent a machine to use with them. I'm still trying to determine search volume for mulching before I go all in on buying equipment. Your bio said you are in logistics. Is that truck dispatching or something else?
Keyword planner
a few days ago, I watched a video with Austin and Jacob that said (I'm paraphrasing, correct me if I'm wrong) that if you are in an area that has 2500 searches per month you should be able to get enough leads to make the business work. I have been using Google Keyword Planner and I have selected a huge territory and I am only coming up with 1100 searches and I am using quite a few keywords in the planner. 1. Can anybody direct me back to that video? Maybe I missed something. 2. Any suggestions for me to try to determine search volume in my area? 3. Is Aheefs or Semrush better than Google?

Insurance NAICS codes
Here are the two NAICS codes I am giving insurance companies to get quotes. These should cover forestry mulching, land clearing and land leveling minor grade work. They do not cover digging deep holes. 238910. And 115310. If anyone is using a different code than these, please post it so I can check to see if I should add that code.

Love facebook ads
I’ve ran Facebook ads for 10+ years in real estate and now running ads for forestry mulching I’m glad to see something’s don’t change. The comments are always the best. This guy left a non kid friendly comment on my ad and I had to laugh at it.
