Allow me to introduce…
Daddy Dobey and Mommy Molly - who, on August 20th - gave us a beautiful and perfectly healthy litter of nine purebred Australian Shepard puppies. As if taking care of five kids and 260 houseplants wasn’t enough, these adorable little monsters have been keeping me super busy - but it is all so worthwhile knowing that some of them will be staying in the family, going to close friends, or will be joining a happy family just in time for the holidays. 🎄 If you or anyone you know might be interested in one of these beautiful, intelligent little babies, please don’t hesitate to reach out. As of yesterday they are 8 weeks old and now ready to leave the roost! Although I wish I could keep them all, eleven dogs is just not feasible for us. I will miss each and every single one of them as they move on to their next chapters. 📖 🐶 I do not take responsibility for any injuries sustained during this time. Please try not to hurt yourself or anything else in the wake of your potential “cuteness aggression” you may feel in this moment. 🥰 Enjoy the photos ❤️

Parent Leadership
Are you a parent or caregiver of young children? Have you faced challenges with finding affordable child care? Has it been difficult navigating through resources or finding what your child needs within your community? Do you have experiences or thoughts that you would like to share with other families or even officials? Perhaps you knew exactly where to go and what to do and you would like to assist other parents and caregivers. Did you know that being a parent is the most influential role you will ever have? Did you know that the parent is the child’s first and most important teacher? Did you know your children are watching and learning from everything you do? And did you know that parents all around the US are speaking up, collaborating, and advocating for positive changes for children and families? I urge you to do something new today: see if your town, region or state has “Parent Ambassadors” or a “Parent Cabinet” and get involved. If you can’t do it yourself, tell a friend who you think would do it and also don’t stop talking about it. We are all out here in your community making things happen for YOU and OUR FUTURE! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Although I am in the state of CT and a member of Connecticut’s Office of Early Childhood Parent Cabinet, I promise to do my best to lead you and your family in the direction of your nearest coalition - or better - ignite the fire in you to create one of it does not yet exist! We all know how change happens - it starts with you! 💫

New member intro 👋🏻
Hello everyone! I am trying to figure out which of my talents/hobbies/interests would be of best interest to the community… perhaps you could help. A little about me…I love using arts of all medium forms and have been crafting my whole life. I also have somehow become a “crazy plant lady” or practice what I like to call “HOARDaculture” 😂 but my most immense passion is working with families and children in the hopes of creating a more sustainable and healthy future for families of all kinds. Most importantly, I am a wife to a wonderfully talented husband and mother of five children (from elementary level to adulthood). So experience with children and family on a personal level has never been a missing component in my story. I earned my BS degree in Child & Family Studies and have also taken some Master’s-level courses in relation to Marriage & Family Therapy specializing in children and adolescents (but have not yet obtained degree as life got in the way). For over ten years I have worked with diverse families in various settings and situations from the public schools to in-home visits, from child development and parenting education, to community involvement and state initiatives. I’ve served underrepresented youth as well as provided therapeutic practices for families and children impacted by major life events or found themselves involved with state officials, needing reunification services. So, what am I doing here? I’m basically looking to utilize my skills, hobbies, and interests in ways that will benefit others while simultaneously providing me the opportunity to accumulate some additional income in a more feasible way - in my own way - and on my own schedule. What has your experience on Skool been like so far and do you think I will be able to make something happen? If you would like to share your thoughts and stories, please introduce yourself and share away! I would love to know more about you all as well as your experience with this media outlet. Perhaps you could share some advice and/or tips and ideas on how I can reach my highest potential!
