I would love to know what yarn you are using for it x
Celestia 😊
Happy to have finally finished my Celestia Top, I made it a bit longer as I absolutely wanted to have some of the dark red of my color changing yarn in it. I love it 🥰

I love it. Hopefully we can see a photo of you wearing it. I haven’t started my celestia top, and have had it for so long! Hopefully this will be the year!
Children of Gaza pullover
I am starting this sweater and will learn Ladderback Jacquard along with it. I’m a little apprehensive about that! Anyone who can offer suggestions please do!

Zanete has a good tutorial about lbj. There are also others who do their lbj differently. I start mine differently and I knit instead of purl them. It’s very versatile but offers much more movement in the colourwork to prevent bunching up. You can also choose where to place your lbj stitches. The big secret is to make sure the yarn you’re not using for the lbj is always to the front and that you don’t accidentally knit your lbj into your work.

@Lisa Stallings you’re so welcome! I can’t wait to see the sweater. Those colours are delicious!!! 🤤 ❤️
Sad
After watching a couple of videos I think I don't know anything about knitting 😔 and after over 60 years of knitting I'm now a beginner again

Oh, don’t be sad! Be empowered! So many long-term knitters are suddenly being blessed with the secrets of European knitters from all over sharing their secret techniques that more western cultures have never been privy to until now. I absolutely feel blessed to be learning new skills that my grandmother was never able to learn. She’s 86 and her hands are riddled with arthritis so sadly her knitting journey is over but she can live vicariously through me as I share my knitting with her. You are so lucky it’s not all over for you and you can learn how to knit top down circular yoke sweaters with short rows that look flawless. Be joyful in this new adventure of knitting enlightenment 💝
Bust Darts
Hello all! Have any of you tried adding bust darts to your knits? If so, do you have any tips or tricks on adding them to patterns you’re following? I hear about bust darts and how they can help tailor your knits, especially knitting in the round. Thank you!

@Ania Ligas thank you. I’m really sad that the yarn I used is quite itchy for me. I will likely end up gifting it to someone. But I’ll get around to finishing it hopefully before the end of winter (here in Australia). I think it will be a little softer when it’s blocked. It’s not hard. But I don’t recommend the pattern as it’s not well written hence the need for side darts to level the yoke with the body. I would 100% recommend Zanete’s patterns over this one. If you like the motif i guess you could in theory buy it and modify to use it with one of Zanete’s patterns that is well written. Unfortunately Caitlin hunter, although having beautiful designs, has received a lot of feedback about the shaping of her garments and the writing of her patterns. Will I knit something of hers in the future? Maybe - they are so beautiful. Will I modify the pattern extensively if I do? ABSOLUTELY.

@Ania Ligas oh I’m not that far from you! Murchison - it’s about two hours from porpunkah (near Shepparton)! We have friends in Mount beauty that we sometimes visit. They own dreamers resort if you’ve ever heard of it!
