Finding the best rate and service
Hey all what’s your general process for finding your best mortgage rate. Do you start with the bank and then go to a broker? Do you go to multiple brokers? Is there any disadvantages to going with the banks if they offer the best rate and/or better service? What is considered a big enough difference to choose one lender over the other? In regards to a rate. Are there any obligations after signing a commitment letter generally? Thanks for any insights.
Insurance for STR
Hey everyone, wondering if anyone has suggestions or thoughts on short term rental insurance for renting out a RV on your property. We are going to be renting out an Airstream on our property and I’m wondering what kind of insurance we will need. We will be renting it through Airbnb most likely. Thanks for any help!

Deals are starting to surface as the renewal wall approaches + kids are heading back to school and the best weather is almost behind us...it can only mean one thing. It's time for this group to get really serious about getting results and building portfolios so that we don't all have to work forever (unless we want to)! With that being said, we are building out a "Client Sucess Pathway" that we will be looking to move all students/ group members through going forward to make sure that we can help as many of you in here actually reach your goals. In order for us to do that, we need an audit of where everyone is currently at in their journey. In our current view, the client success journey is roughly broken down into these 6 key checkpoints: - Onboarding - Thesis Creation - Deal Analysis/ Thesis Validation - Power Team Buildout - Finding Deals/ Submitting Offers at Ideal Price to Create Deals - Executing/ Stabilizing Post Offer Acceptance IN ORDER TO TAKE PART IN OUR BACK END TRACKING AND ACCOUNTABILITY PROCESSES GOING FORWARD: ** Comment on this post with where you are at in this process since joining, and the biggest thing you are still feeling stuck with. ** We are building associated checklists out for ourselves internally for each of these major checkpoints in order to systematize our ability to help you move through your constraints. As a final note, the last year has presented one of the most difficult time to find deals, as affordability is still at all time lows based on the current combination of prices and interest rates, but things are going to shift quickly over the next year as the chance of unemployment and debt defaults rising is growing more probable and ever near. The last couple of years have been the hangover from 2020-2022's mania, and we still have not fully reset to break through to the other side. Be patient, but be vigilant and be ready to make your move. I leave you with the metaphor of the Moso Bamboo's growth. While showing very little to no growth above the ground in the first several years after being planted, this plant is famous for being able to shoot up and grown as much as 3' in a single day at full diameter in its peak growth phase, because it has spent the prior 3+ years focussing its energy on growing a robust root system.

Todays Mastermind
The Monday Mastermind started as an experiment, but has quickly has grown into one of my favorite 30 minutes slots of the week. Today's was well attended with 14 of us on there sharing our wins, losses, challenges & plans for the upcoming week. Here's how it works, We do a round table for about 30 minutes, - what did you do last week to get you closer to your goals, - what are you going to do this week to get you closer to your goals, - share wins, losses, challenges and we work through them together, - share a quote that resonates with you, That's it. Simple, yet powerful stuff. The quote I shared today was one from the great Mark Twain; "Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great" To me, this one hits home. Over the years of starting businesses and taking losses and risks that don't make sense to many people, I was always being judged by those around me, my friends and even my family. They didn't understand the mission I was one, they questioned it, didn't believe in it, and even poked fun at it. Now, many of those same people come to me for advice. Stray strong in the face of doubt and adversary & let's build something great together! I hope to see more of you on the Monday Masterminds, they are becoming some of the best 30 mins on my calendar.
