Friday Mastermind Recap
This week we did something different: instead of a hot seat, we spent the whole call digging into how to actually use Claude for your career transition. Brett, Keith, Laurey, and Tom each shared how they're using AI right now (ChatGPT projects, cover letters, company research, even having Claude Code build small apps), then we walked through building a "Career Transition Co-Pilot" project inside Claude Cowork step by step: setting the master instructions, loading in your vision work, brand worksheet, resume, and interview prep as context, and letting it guide you stage by stage through the same roadmap I use with every client. I put together a full guide covering exactly how to set this up, the master project prompt, and where to drop in your own materials at each stage. Grab it here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qS9PKZ6EoBsEuQ_Qs-wD5gdeS4CxKNF1sRGGMIYb2fA/edit?usp=sharing One thing to flag: I'm not posting the video from this one. While I was pulling up a couple of your coaching notebooks live on screen to use as examples, other clients' notebooks were visible too, and I don't want anyone's personal information floating around on a recording. My mistake, lesson learned. Everything we covered is in the guide above, so you're not missing anything. Next Friday, July 10th at 11:00am Mountain Time, we're back for our regular mastermind. If there's a specific topic or challenge you want the group to focus on, drop it in the comments below and I'll build the session around it. Otherwise, we'll keep it open: bring your questions and challenges, and we'll coach through them together.

Hey all, I wanted to share this resource I came across on LinkedIn from user Austin Belcak. He created a set of prompts he calls his "Dream Job Finder Agent" https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QoXesD_PegdDWbFIYfojFh_UZksJo1v7FxAwDmTYHxY/edit?usp=sharing. While his prompts are written for Claude Cowork, I was able to drop them into ChatGPT and ask ChatGPT to translate them for itself with no problems at all. After spending a couple of hours having it take me through a set of clarifying / targeting questions, I now have a job search agent that seems to be able to unearth on-target job opportunities, including some that I had not already found via my existing Boolean Searches on LinkedIn or Indeed Job Alerts.
Happy Friday! Don't miss today's Friday Mastermind. :)
The votes are in, and it's a win for the "tell me about yourself" question. As a reminder, we'll be starting at 11 AM MST (that's 10 PST, 12 CST, and 1 EST). Here is the condensed framework I shared today for answering "Tell Me About Yourself".
Huge Wins Happening Inside This Community 👏
Big wins have been happening inside this community. Even while things have been quiet here the past couple of months, many of you have been making serious career moves. And that deserves to be recognized. So today I want to celebrate some of the momentum happening inside The Thriving Professionals Network. Let’s give a big round of congratulations to a few members who have had some incredible wins recently: @Monika Witt landed a fantastic new role that is strongly aligned with the career vision she set out to create. Tons of opportunities ahead, and she’s excited about what’s next. Monica, what part of this new role are you most excited to dive into first? @Ashley Robertson navigated company restructuring after starting a new role late last year and landed in an even better position working under her mentor. She’s continuing to grow in the AI space she’s so passionate about. Ashley, what are you most excited to learn or build in this new role within AI? @Nick Tabbal secured two fractional consulting engagements and is currently working 40+ hours per week with both clients. The two clients are Claritas (the company he interviewed with and made it to the final round) and Larridin (a company founded by two former colleagues). These projects could potentially turn into full-time opportunities. Nick, what has been the biggest lesson or surprise from working in fractional roles so far? @James Eldridge postponed launching his own business with a new baby on the way, refocused on creating value inside his current company, and successfully negotiated a salary increase as a stepping stone toward launching later this year. James, what do you think made the biggest difference in successfully negotiating that raise? @Mary Davis has been building strong networking momentum and generating promising conversations and potential referrals despite the challenges of the job market.
