Hunger
While pregnant, my babies wouldn’t let me eat anything! Now that I’m breastfeeding, I’m constantly starving non-stop. Any advice lol?

@Karen Gilbert all day mostly it feels like. Every time I pump I tend to get hungry.
Supply
I’m super confused…. Around 11:30pm- it’s my lowest supply like 2oz and 3oz per boob when my babies take 4oz. But then when 2:30am comes around my supply is 8oz per boob almost over filling. How can my supply be consistent or get more around 11:30 so my I don’t have to get milk from the fridge bc my supply is low and that’s when they want to feed.

@Karen Gilbert I’m pumping and breast feeding. I breast feed during the day and pump throughout the day and pump at night
🍼 Breastfeeding Mamas —Ask Me Anything
Whether you’re pregnant and planning ahead… Up at 2am wondering if this is normal… Or 4 months in and questioning your supply… Drop your questions below. No question is too small. No question is “dumb.” No judgment here — just support. Here are some examples if you’re not sure what to ask: • Is my baby getting enough? • Why does latch hurt on one side? • How often should my newborn eat? • Is cluster feeding normal? • How do I increase milk supply? • Should I wake baby to feed? • Pumping at work — how much should I send? • Can I breastfeed if I’m sick? If it’s on your mind, it matters. I’m Karen — a postpartum nurse and Lactation Coordinator with 17 years of experience — and I’m here to help you feel confident, not confused. Ask away 👇

🔴 Missed the Live? Here’s What We Covered: • How to know if your baby is actually getting enough • Why 6–8 weeks can feel like your supply “dropped” • Whether 10-minute feeds at 7 weeks can be enough • The truth about pump output (and why it can mislead you) • Cluster feeding vs low supply • Freezer stash culture (and why enough is success) • How much twins typically need in 24 hours • Exhaustion & anxiety around 3 months postpartum • Medication questions (like Lamictal) and how to approach them safely • Why babies recognize your scent — and why that matters If any of those topics sound like you right now, go watch the replay. There was a LOT of reassurance and education in this one. Drop a ❤️ once you’ve watched it or tell me which topic you want me to go deeper on next time.

When skin to skin, is it only for the newborn stage or is it important for all stages?

@Karen Gilbert yes!
NEW: Live Breastfeeding Support Call (Starting This Sunday)
Hi mamas 🤍 I’m adding something new inside our community — and I’m excited to try this with you. 🗓 Starting Sunday, February 15th🕛 12PM EST📅 Every other week I’ll be hosting a live breastfeeding support call for all members. This is not a lecture. This is not a class. This is real-time support. You can come to: • Ask questions about feeding • Talk through supply worries • Get clarity on newborn behavior • Discuss pumping challenges• Feel less alone in what you’re experiencing You don’t have to be “having a problem” to come. Sometimes reassurance is what builds confidence. If it feels helpful, we’ll keep it going. If we need to adjust timing or format, we’ll adjust. This space is for you. 💬 Comment below: Are you planning to join this Sunday? And if you could get support on one thing right now, what would it be? Let’s make this a place where you feel calm, informed, and supported — not overwhelmed. 🤍

I want to join if I can, I’m at work but might be able to still listen! I think support on just knowing if they latch and feed for like 10 mins if that enough if they keep pulling away or is it just they are satisfied ?
