The Art of Remaining Awake
Maybe the real task is not waking others. Maybe it is staying awake. *** 1% controls the world. 10% are corrupt. 80% are asleep. 9% get it, yet the 1% use the 10% to stop the 9% from waking up the 80%. Sounds true? It isn’t. You cannot wake people who are only pretending to be asleep, and half of that 80% is only pretending. The other 40% who are truly asleep need their rest, and some things are better left alone. So what do the 9% do when there is no task in front of them? Nothing, except stay alert and make sure they do not fall asleep again. Because it is easy to stay awake around people who are awake, but much harder around people who dream, pretend, and pull others back to sleep. *** And in the end, the task was never to wake the world, only not to fall asleep with it. @ᚺᛖᛚᛗᚢᛏ ᛇᚲᛖᚱ Thank you, that is exactly how I understood what you were sharing. And it is true. No other can remove the mask except one's self. With the masks off it is then One see's the truth and with patience for others with compassion or humility for to truly love ones' self. I have to forget about what other's say with love in my heart. It may be that if I were Logical I would not share but then I am not as Logical as much as follow the feeling, the emotion.

@ᚺᛖᛚᛗᚢᛏ ᛇᚲᛖᚱ I have to disagree with your reasoning on one point. To not share or reveal the mask removal to others. I have lived a long time and when it comes to transforming and transmuting in the end when I share my shifts with those close to me there is no bad reaction. Of this I do understand that the many masks have been laid down and now honestly I love the Silence. I love to sit in the dark and breathe. I do remember and seriously my patience even with you grows day by day. If you see otherwise it may be that we are on different frequencies that disappear into the pleroma. And to not befriend insanity why would I? Even others for most of my life have thought I was insane. But strangely enough the psychologists I have met and shared with felt that it was the world around that was insane. NOT ME. This is not to say I am perfect in anyway. But to hide myself from those I trust may be dangerous when truly SILENCE is the golden path I trod now. Silence is Golden when embraced and understood. Each day and night is an opportunity to embrace humility.

The seeker is the sought. The knower is the known. The one who asks, how do I enter the source? is already the source, or the Monad, temporarily pretending to be separate, playing hide and seek with itself. But let this recognition not breed complacency. Yes, you are the source, the Godhead, but you are the Godhead that has forgotten. The practices matter. The commitment to awakening matters. The daily discipline of meditation and self-inquiry, these are the means by which the amnesia is cured. Awakening is a gradual process, but it can also happen in a flash. However, the gradual process is much easier to digest and is also the most natural way. It is not about enlightenment as you may hear it described in New Age circles. And if you think you already are enlightened, think again, because awakening is not a mental realization. That belief is often the last trap before full awakening, and it is one in which you can remain trapped for a lifetime. For this reason, I call it the greatest illusion, because even the mind, and certainly the ego, can convince you that you have arrived.

REMEMBERING THE SOURCE #Eternity! Thank you for all the shared wisdom. Still I love to read and reread this eternal wisdom that you posted for the group. I have not heard the expression in the very last sentence! "The unexpected tap of the Zen stick." That caught me off guard. The image shows and looks like what I had happen. I called it The Rod Of Initiation. It took me over ten years to find any books that made reference to what you refer to as the tap of the Zen stick but then I hadn't studied Zen Buddhism in my earlier days. Even though you have talked about not subscribing to New Age yet correct me if I am wrong. I found a boat load of wonderful information that helped me understand what I experienced through the Books by Alice Bailey. And my teacher Wisdom Master Maticintin in her book "Secrets of The Golden Spiral". Although now having dived more into Thoth the Scribe I see more and more where a lot of the known works come from yet this is still a mystery that unfolds before my eyes as we speak. 💛👏🙏💜

@ᚺᛖᛚᛗᚢᛏ ᛇᚲᛖᚱ I acknowledge what you share. I just wondered and today I no longer wonder as much as sense and the process that started thousands of years ago and all the lifetimes, the time lines, the many roads are behind what I once believed were impossibilities and hallucinations. Yes the mind is the builder, the spirit is the life force and the body is the result!
Lilith: The Woman Who Chose Herself
Before Lilith was turned into a demonic figure in biblical text, she was the archetype for sovereignty. Her story does not begin in the Bible. It begins far earlier, in ancient Mesopotamia, where female spirits known as Lilitu moved through the night air. These figures were associated with wind, sexuality, and untamed forces of life. They were not evil. They were uncontrolled. And in early human societies, that was far more threatening. Lilith entered Jewish mythology much later, in a medieval text called The Alphabet of Ben Sira. This is where she is named as Adam’s first wife—created from the same earth as him, not from his rib. There was no built-in hierarchy between them. And that equality is precisely where the strife comes from. When Adam demanded dominance, Lilith refused. She would not lie beneath him. She would not accept a position of submission. Rather than negotiate her own diminishment, she chose exile. She spoke the ineffable name of God and left Eden on her own terms. This moment is the core of the Lilith archetype. She was not expelled. She CHOSE to walk away. What follows is predictable. A woman who refuses male authority cannot remain neutral in the story. She must be punished. Lilith was recast as a demon, blamed for infant deaths, sexual deviance, and male desire itself. Amulets were worn to ward her off. Her independence was reframed as warning to women who did not fall in place. Lilith represents the woman who does not organize her life around being chosen, protected, or approved of. She does not trade freedom for belonging. She does not make herself smaller to stay safe. She accepts the cost of her sovereignty and pays it willingly. In contrast, Eve is rewarded for her obedience. Lilith is vilified for equality. That contrast has shaped centuries of female conditioning. As an archetype, Lilith is not soft. She is not palatable. She does not ask to be understood. She embodies a form of liberation that does not seek permission or validation. She is the woman who would rather be alone than owned.

Following Your Bliss ...
This past weekend I challenged myself by walking up Hardy Mountain Road breathing in the cold fresh air of winter to invigorate my body, mind, and soul. Stopping upon a crest further up the snow-covered road, I turned around and looked upon the panorama sloping below me. It was partly cloudy and as I stood there, in the distance, I could see the wide-open valley with small farmhouses nestled quietly in a white carpet of snow dusted fields. The view brought back flashes of pleasant memories working as a floral arranger in a small farming community of southern Ontario back in my early days. Russell Baker, a fastidious Dutchman, took me on as a novice as I had recently graduated with a Flowers Canada diploma a floral design course at the University of Guelph. He had a small greenhouse, Garden Centre, and Flower Shop that serviced the rural communities of Stayner, Elmvale, and Wasaga Beach. In the flower shop, I worked under the watchful eye of his daughter who was an accomplished floral designer. I spent several years learning the basics of horticulture and in the process became adept at flower arranging. Not everyone gets the opportunity to work in a job that’s intoxicating. When was the last time you walked into a flower shop? Remember the exquisite fragrance of the flowers and greenery that enveloped your senses as you ambled in? It is such a warm and inviting atmosphere emanating the vitality of nature’s life force - the aliveness of flowers, and plants is much the same as stepping into an altered state of being. The days of repetitive tasks are non-existent when working with flowers and plants. Every day being novel gave rise to the prospect of creating new and unique flower arrangements that suited each and every occasion. The sensitive nature of our feelings and what it signifies when someone sends flowers or receives flowers is an accepted and appreciated way of expressing how we feel about that someone special in our lives. The purpose of giving flowers is to delight or to convey difficult or awkward emotions without the use of words that can often encumber what is trying to be expressed.

To all members of Echoes of the Self
The Ocean in a Droplet Welcome to Echoes of the Self. I’m truly glad you’re here. Come as you are, and take your place among us, a space where no one is “just an echo” and all are the Self. We are growing slowly, but steadily. Drop by drop, the cup fills, and one day it will overflow. Let that be something we celebrate, not because bigger is better, but because each drop is real, and each arrival matters. When it does overflow, where will the stream go when it slips beyond the walls of the well? Will we ever know? In a way, we already do. Water remembers its depth. It flows outward, it wanders, it nourishes, and then it returns, drawn back to the lowest point, rejoining the ocean. It makes ripples, then becomes one with the Source again. So what are we really? A droplet in the ocean, or the ocean in a droplet? It is a matter of perspective. And yet some perspectives soften when we truly reunite. The water in a drop is as salty as the water in the Pacific. The quality is the same. Only the quantity appears different. When the small returns to the vast, it is not erased. It is completed. The drop does not lose its essence, it loses its borders. The ocean can appear in a drop, but the drop becomes ocean only by letting go of separation. Why is that? If you feel that question stirring in you, that is part of why you are here. Does it matter to me alone how many of you are here? I say no. But it may matter to all of us, because something happens when remembrance becomes shared. A tender return to stillness does not mean silence. We have been silenced for far too long. Now it is time to raise your voice, not to create noise, but to let stillness break the silence. Stillness is not quiet. Stillness is the ground beneath sound. Have you ever heard the sound of silence? If not, listen differently. Do not only listen for the noise inside silence. Look for the silence inside noise. Like the moment after a bell stops ringing, when the room is not empty, just awake. If you manage to filter what is restless, what is borrowed, what is performative, something remains. What remains is not nothingness. What remains is presence. The stillness of the void, not as emptiness, but as the place where everything gathers before it becomes form, before it becomes word, before it becomes sound again.

Such a warm invitation to go into the silence and perceive and sense the value of The Ocean in a Droplet. Words can get in the way or words can show the way. Mind is not about thinking as much as it is about a being the space where thought forms flow through. To allow our voice to carry into space where we connect and Yes become the Ocean of consciousness being aware of each drop. Thanks Helmut for the greeting from one drop to another drop. I look forward to listening to all the voices as each one feels safe. Feeling safe in a space is fundamental as each of us nourishes the Self stretching our limits to limitless. 💜

@Stefan Heising Welcome Stefan, it is so nice of you to join the Echoes of the Self. There is lots for you to read and muse over. It is a journey of quiet revelation that seems to still the deep waters of the soul. 💜 And I pray you feel safe to share. And yes it is not mandatory. Although it will be fun as you go along. 🤗
