Love this video! It deserves its place in the classroom beginners tab. Hint hint
I'm new here
Hi, I am new here and not sure how to navigate. I bought my first 22 pin childrens Singer machine on clearance at Walmart for $19.00 in early 2000's... I didnt even open it until 2023! My Father in law bought me the King size Addi for Christmas 2023 and boy did I love it. He did too! My husband bought me the smaller Addi for our Anniversary, then I bought the Mushroom. My husband then bought both Sentro machines! He said its like his garage when he needs tools to work on cars I needs machines for production! The plan was Pappa was going to sell plants and I was going sell knitting. Unfortunately his health failed and we had several Dr visits and hospital stays. We never made it to shows. He went Home last month, he and Mom are together again dancing in eternity. So Im looking forward to crafting again and Im sure he will be cheering me on from the otherside! He also was a crafter and crocheted, did chair caninning, woodworking and plant growing! Im looking forward to learning and maybe helping others too...

Welcome! I’m so sorry for your loss. Choosing to continue your father’s legacy through circular knitting is such a meaningful and beautiful way to honor him. You’ll find plenty of beginner tutorials in the classroom to get you started. When you’re ready, the premium membership offers additional patterns and instructional videos to help you grow your skills. If you prefer to jump in more fully, the VIP membership gives you access to everything so you can learn at your own pace. For me, the VIP membership has been a great fit. I like being able to move ahead in areas that come easily while still having the option to revisit the basics when I need more practice—like with panel mode. It lets me keep progressing with projects I enjoy, while coming back to more challenging skills when I’m ready. Everyone’s path looks a little different—you might find yourself drawn to colorwork, I-cord, blankets, or something else entirely. The nice thing is, there are lots of options to explore depending on what interests you most. Take your time, enjoy the process, and have fun with it. And when you can, share your projects and those little “aha” moments—we all love celebrating those together 😊

Please join me in congratulating: ✨ @Wendy Merchant and ✨ @Barbara Amarillas on reaching Level 8 in our community! 🌟 What This Really Means Level 8 isn’t just about points. It represents consistent contribution and real impact. These two members didn’t get here by chance. They showed up by: • Posting their projects • Encouraging others • Liking and commenting regularly • Answering questions • Sharing ideas and experiences 💛 How the Levels Really Work Points in this community are earned when others respond to what you do. So when you: • Share a project • Ask a question • Offer encouragement • Contribute to conversations And others engage with it… 👉 That’s how you earn points. But here’s the powerful part: When you like, comment, and support others, you are helping them earn points too. So growth doesn’t happen individually here… 👉 It happens together. 🤝 The Community Responded Because of how Barbara and Wendy showed up: • Conversations grew • Members felt encouraged • New people felt welcomed • Confidence increased across the community That’s what true contribution looks like. 🧶 Welcome to the CMK Inner Circle With Level 8, they are now invited into: ✨ The CMK Inner Circle ✨ This is a group of members who: • Help shape the direction of the community • Provide ideas and feedback • Support and guide others • Help protect the positive, supportive culture we’ve built This is where members move from participating… To helping lead. 💛 Want to Get There Too? There’s no shortcut. It’s simply: • Show up • Share • Engage • Support others And let the community respond. Please take a moment to congratulate them below 👇 They’ve truly earned this. Let’s keep the crank turning — together 🧶💛

Finally finished my teddy bear
Here’s my first teddy bear 🧸 He’s a little wonky, but I think he’s cute 🥰. I’ll have to find some ribbon for a bow around his neck. @Julie Findleton , what size ribbon do you recommend? And everyone who has made a bear and tied a ribbon around its neck, what size ribbon did you use? I’m thinking 2” wide, and get a half yard of it?

@Lori Norris good point. I need more eyes for more projects.
Yarn Ball Winder
I wrote out a question a few minutes ago, but I think I failed to post it. So here I go again. I bought a yarn ball winder on Amazon and used it to manually wrap up some yarn that I had left over from prior projects. It didn't work all that well. The balls started out looking good, then it would suddenly drop down the spindle below the ball and just make a mess. Maybe it was my fault. Could my hand cranking be inconsistent? I don't know if that could cause problems. So today I dug out the power cord and plugged the winder in. When I switched it on, the motor just sat there and hummed. Argh! So it's packed up and is going back to Amazon! Now I'm wondering if y'all have a brand that you recommend? I'd love to get a winder that actually works as advertised. Let me know!
