How to Create AI Image & Video of Yourself Meeting Your Younger Self 🤎
Want to create an AI image of your present-day self meeting your younger self? I attached a quick downloadable guide below with the starter prompt and steps to make your own. Start with a clear present-day photo. If you don’t have a childhood photo, the prompt uses the photo you uploaded and the details you give to create the younger you. @Yaya Reed , thank you for your help with sparking this idea. Whit 🫶🏽 If you missed this morning’s younger-you challenge post, take a peek if you're interested. Then download the guide and have fun creating yours! 👀🤎

Glen here, keeping the person recognizable
I’m Glen, learning AI with a graphic design background. The discussion about believable AI portraits has me thinking about the difference between a polished image and a familiar face. At 54, I’m not looking to have every line erased. If a portrait of me loses the details that people recognize, a prettier picture could actually be less useful. For those making portraits, what detail do you compare with the original photo first? I’d be interested in your way of checking that the person still looks like themselves before working on the background or outfit.

Aww thank you @Whit Dubo that’s so kind 🥰 Hi There @Glen Hutsell fellow designer, love it 😄 Honestly the first thing I look at is the eyes. Not the color, the spacing and shape. AI loves to “pretty up” eyes, and that’s usually where someone stops looking like themselves. Then I check the lower face, the distance from nose to mouth to chin. If that shifts even a little, the whole face reads as a stranger. Jawline is another one. AI slims and sharpens literally everyone lol. And the little imperfections matter way more than people think. A crooked smile, one eyebrow sitting higher, a freckle. AI smooths those out first, and they’re often the exact things that make a person them. My go-to trick is to shrink both images down really small, side by side. If I still recognize them at thumbnail size, the bones are right and I can play with style all I want. If not, I go back and fix the face before anything else. Also, more reference photos from different angles help a ton compared to one selfie. Feel free to drop one of yours here if you want a second pair of eyes and if you ever want a spot to play and experiment swap feedback with other artists and designers, you’re welcome in Creative AI Lab 💛

10.11.26 Affirmation of the Day ✨
SAY THIS OUT LOUD: I give myself permission to slow down without giving up. My worth does not depend on how much I get done today. I can breathe, reset, and trust myself to take the next step when I’m ready. 🤎
