The gym is just my grown up playground. Saturday mornings in the gym with my boy. We lift heavy, but we play too.

Injury update
Got the results from my scan that was taken 2 weeks ago. One of the fractures has healed but It sounds like the first scan missed the severity of the second fracture, which is a volar plate avulsion fracture and has had no change over 4 weeks. Image below of essentially what a volar plate fracture looks like. No wonder I still can’t bend my finger properly! I guess it may take a bit more time to heal than originally anticipated 😩

From @Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert post about the 1 arm hang, I wanted to retest my left side...I've always called them hanging L-sit πŸ˜‚ First video is from a post I did beginning of April Second video from today, Ive impoved Γ  lot on my left side Third, is my right arm which is my stronger side

Thanks @Zara Doering for sharing your Video! I inspected how you did it and then I attempted it again Not a "perfect" attempt however this is the first time EVER that I've been able to transition 😁 I didn't have enough strength to do it all in one smooth move but this is huge todayπŸŽ‰ Plus I had already done lots today (hanging , EMOM chin ups, lat pull down, rows, face pulls!) so my strength was already used up quite a bit Now I'm done for today!😊

Language warning. Volume down if cursing offends. @Val Mercier threw out the challenge of this elbow lever, arm-balancey thing. If I needed a reminder to practice my stretching and bow pose type things, my ribs are reminding me now. I don't bend well backwards. I probably shouldn't have done a set of 100kg deadlifts after this either πŸ‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ πŸ˜† Hats off to your attempt Val.

@Val Mercier it's what was going through my head while I was kicking my legs around. The bent leg helped shift the weight, but I was too wobbly to hold anything for long. My ribs though. So sore tonight. Gotta learn not to go off program. I was gonna try theses tomorrow when I had nothing else on πŸ‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
