Make Music Masterclass (April 20th-24th)
Excited to introduce our brand new 5-day virtual workshop, called the Make Music Masterclass. What is it? Week-long virtual workshop where the Mastering.com team will guide you through the process of creating a song from start to finish, teaching fundamental music production techniques along the way. When is it? April 20th-24th (next week, Mon to Fri). Each day will last around 2hrs and will start at 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST. Why should I attend? To improve the quality of your productions and recordings, and finish a track with professional guidance. This is a rare opportunity to learn the complete music production process from start to finish, in real time, with instructors who have made it their mission to demystify the music creation process. How much is it? Tickets are $49 and must be purchased before the event starts on April 20th. How do I join? Check out this page for all the info, along with a day-by-day breakdown, and the link to reserve a ticket. Hope to see you there! Cheers, Rob

I am using the Adam Audio T6V's for music production. When I am laying down a new mix on my DJ kit I am using Kali Audio LP6 v2's.

I just got gifted a pair of Presonus E 3.5 studio monitors. I am going to add them to my production setup as monitors for comparison to the Adam Audio's.
I’ve been building something new.
A solo project called DOSIMO. It doesn’t sound like anything I’ve released before. It’s slower. Heavier. Feels like it’s coming from a different place entirely. The first release lands at the end of April, but I’ve started sharing fragments of it. This is one piece of it. The rest is unfolding here: instagram.com/dosimo.music/ Open to any thoughts. Especially on the visuals and how it’s coming across so far.

It's funny, I still have a few sets on Mix Cloud from several years ago. I was just looking at it. I haven't really played or posted anything there in a long time.

@Dermot O' Mahony Wow, cool! I hope you enjoyed what you heard. I want to finish some more of the free videos here and maybe get back into putting out some new mixes in the near future. It's been awhile. I am doing well though. Trying to. get through the equalizer video in the classroom. It's good stuff!
Ear Doctor Visit
So I just visited the Ear Doctor on SoundGym and got these high frequency test results. From a mixing and mastering perspective, should these results be of concern?

The results you receive from a website could very possibly be faulty, (not to disparage the websites integrity), but it is a website. If you are truly concerned and experiencing any symptoms of hearing loss I would definitely consider having a professional audiologist conduct a hearing test in an actual hearing booth as opposed to on your phone or with headphones on a computer in a room that is not fully sound proofed. Not to ask any personal information from you but, your age may be a factor as far as age related hearing loss aka presbycusis is concerned. Hearing loss will generally begin around the 30's-40's in otherwise healthy adults, but you also have to factor in occupational hazards such as exposure to very high decibel noise levels. If you're truly concerned see an audiologist, and don't worry until there's something to worry about. I hope that helps...

@Forever Simon Spliffties? 😆. You're more than welcome, I just reached the "Golden Years" of life, lol. Nothing golden about them....
Which Way To Go?
Hey, all. I have a question regarding some tracks I have written prior to beginning to watching the videos on this site which have taught me more than I learned in 2 months of watching YouTube videos. I am gaining a lot more knowledge, and I'm starting to question all the decisions I made on these tracks. I think they could be viable tracks, and I like them but, they could be so much better. My question is this: Do I strip them down to bare bones, and completely redo them (ie. gain staging, FX, EQ'ing, etc.).? Or do I leave them as is, and chalk them up to a learning experience and begin new projects? I am leaning toward both. Copy the project and redo everything, then keep the original for comparison and to track my progression. What do y'all think? Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Karlton...

@Natale Padovesi I do not, I am an older guy and just never really use my phone for anything other than making calls. I'm just not a really social media kind of guy...lol. That's what happens when we get older!
