Can Lovable replace Wordpress?
I was supposed to create a website for my company using Wordpress however, my boss, without telling me, created and published a website through Lovable. So basically, she stole my task smh. Now, I am worried that she will fire me because there is literally nothing for me to do anymore (1 month work for me was 'finished' by her in just 1 day) I am curious if there any downsides to Lovable so I can tell her and I can keep creating websites using Wordpress and keep my job lol

@Caldwell Harry I think if I had a VPS it wouldn't have been a problem. Basic functionality works ok after building, but anything that needs the live React Coding type features were the issue. We actually ran into the same thing at my last job with a local built system that we tried to host on a university server. - We also had a VPS but it didn't handle the code well either running IIS. Theoretically we could have swapped to another server, but the programmer that my office hired to help me didn't really have a clue. (I was officially the DBA but had been a developer long before AI was really a thing)

@Caldwell Harry I could argue some of that that. Loveable does have the ability for developers to modify the code beyond. Ultimately it's opening up a new 'breed' of developers that need to know prompt engineering as much as they need to know the coding - or more so. Even without loveable I was writing code with AI - ie. chatgpt and then modifying it to do what I wanted. The whole work smarter not harder. I had a developer my office hired to work with me who really was not experienced. He chose React only because he knew it was a shiny new toy and he had to learn whatever anyway, I started literally with C64 Basic and IBM 4381 COBOL and have worked with more languages that I could count. So my office thinking he was the 'expert' went with React and I was constantly having to write code for him in a language that I really hadn't seen before that experience. Writing it with AI and then correcting any coding issues before passing it on to him with instructions of what else to do to it, was the ideal solution when I was also trying to do my own work. (DBA manager that needed to rebuilt the DB design since it was super old... while dealing with non-techies who kept trying to insist, I did things like change all the hyphens to EM-dashes in the database. Literally hearing the words when I said that the Collation would all need to be changed 'Why can't you just paste it in instead then?'.... Needless to say all that was one of the big reasons I left and they now pay a contractor outside the university to handle all the tech stuff.

Did my ChatGPT Year Review and this is right on par for how my year went. I spent a LOT of time with AI this year and it’s got me really curious about what this year will bring for me… especially in this new era of vibe coding and wanting to get an app published to the App Store this year. Looking forward to 2026. Cheers 🥂

My husband frequently uses my computer and account for ChatGPT and is a retired physics professor, so my yearly review was really weird with the mash between his stuff and mine. (Do you mix ChatGPT with loveable? and how)
Hi guys
how do you deliver a project to a client?

I am just developing for myself, but I link to my github and then clone onto my computer and build. Moving that folder to my server. I use 1and1 though so I've found some of my sites I just need to leave on loveable and link with the domain. If I ever get to the point that I really want a lot of people using the sites I may have to invest in a VPS instead.... but that's what works for me.
