Consistency / “Starting Over”
Ever feel like you keep starting over with your health? Most people don’t struggle because they don’t know what to do — they struggle because the plan doesn’t fit real life. Try this: instead of restarting another diet, create your own simple Food Rule and stick to it for 2–3 weeks. For example, one of the Food Practices in my program is: Eat Real Food! Which means, food that comes from the earth. As little processed crap as possible! Try it Monday–Friday for a few weeks (yes, you’ve got some flexibility on the weekend 😉). Hint: also think about simple foods and meals you can prep, pack, or grab on your busiest days — this helps you avoid the common pitfall of not eating well when something unexpected comes up, like a business trip, or a packed day of meetings. Most of the time, we spend so much energy overthinking what we shouldn’t eat, when simply eating real food consistently can go a long way. There was a time when I lived off energy bars — until my body started pushing back and I felt awful. When I reintroduced real food into my daily routine, my stomach issues disappeared and my energy improved. Just a reminder: look at what YOU are doing, not what anyone else is doing — and take one small action that supports your body. Consistency is built from realistic actions, not perfect ones. What’s some real food you will work into your busy week and something you can repeat for the week? 🤍

Why Nutrition and Movement Have to Work Together
Post-Mother’s Day reflection 🤍 This weekend was a good reminder for me of how much nutrition and movement go hand in hand. You really can’t have one without the other. I had the energy to run around and chase my kids on the beach…and also fully relax and enjoy being there. I indulged on my birthday last week, and again on Mother’s Day, completely guilt free. Because I trust my body. And I know I’m consistently fueling it well. That’s the part I wish more women understood. It’s not about being perfect, it's about building a foundation that supports you. Most of the women I talk to are already doing the basics, walking, staying active, trying to eat better. But if your body isn’t being properly fueled and challenged, it’s easy to feel stuck. Low energy.Cravings.Plateaus. Movement keeps you going. Fueling and challenge are what move you forward. That combination is what allows you to enjoy life fully, the movement, the rest, and yes, even the indulgence, without guilt. Curious, do you feel like your current routine is truly supporting your energy, or just getting you through the day?

I'm Charlene - And I Made Something For You
Thank you, @Jennifer White for the introduction! I'm Charlene. Most of you know the name. This is the first time I'm actually talking to you directly, and I didn't want to start with an introduction post about myself. So I made you something instead. It's a short guide called From Fog to Clarity. I wrote it for women who are overwhelmed — not by failure, but by options. By noise. By the gap between what they think they should want and what they actually want when no one's watching. It's built around four questions. The honest ones. The kind that feel uncomfortable for about ten seconds and then feel like relief. I know them because I've had to live them. I've been sober since 1981. I've stared down a diagnosis that scared me badly enough that I genuinely changed how I lived. I grew up without a hometown or a social script, which means I had to figure out what I actually believed rather than just inheriting someone else's answers. These questions are the tools I still use. In my writing. In my daily life. And they're the tools I used to guide women through Life changes for over 40 years. The guide is free. No email required. No opt-in. Just click the PDF and it's yours. If it helps you — even a little — I'd love to know. Drop a comment or send me a message. That's the whole point of being here. More from me in a few days.

Hello
📅 Day 4 — Mindful Pause Checking In With Your Body
Halfway through our first week. 💛 How are you feeling? Today we slow all the way down and turn our attention inward — to the one place that carries everything you've ever been through. Your body. Our bodies speak to us constantly. Tension in the shoulders. A tight jaw. A heavy chest. Most of the time we push past those signals without even noticing. Today, we listen. This isn't about fixing anything. It's simply about noticing. ✨ Today's Activity: Pause and do a slow scan of your body from the top of your head all the way down to your feet. Notice where you feel tension, tightness, or discomfort — without judgment. Just acknowledge it. Take a gentle breath into any place that feels held or tight. You can do this lying down, seated, or standing. It only takes a couple of minutes. What did you notice? Share in the comments — even just one word describes it perfectly. 🤍
