Hello quilters! I am so excited to welcome you to GourmetQuilter! This space is for you. Here we can chat about quilting and associated topics, like making quilts, bag etc, maybe you have a question about making, or something to share. I wanted to create a space for quilters to come together to talk about what we are making, free from other distractions. If you're new here, I'm SusanClaire, often known as GourmetQuilter. I am a fabric designer, quilt pattern designer/writer, shop owner, teacher, speaker and YouTuber. I live in New Zealand and have a delightful barn studio that is a work in progress! I have been online for more than 20 years, bringing the world closer as New Zealand is a little out of the way, but delightful. A few things before you get started! This community is brand new and there are exciting things in the pipe-line. Have a friend who is hungry to hang out with us? Invite them to join too. 💖 BE KIND, DON'T PROMOTE YOURSELF, RESPECT OTHER MEMBERS💖 Think about who you'd like to hang out with, maybe have a coffee or lunch with - or make a quilt with! Be pleasant and kind, respectful and encouraging. Please don't advertise here, it is fine to mention a pattern or project by another designer, or shiop, but this is not a space to advertise. This is a clean space to chat about what we are making. I have been clearing my workspace in the barn studio and am relishing the un-cluttered space in which I can create happily without distraction - that is what we are looking for here.
