REPLAY IS UP! How to become an OBM
We just wrapped the session with Karen, and honestly, I learned so much too 👏 @Karen Daniels from Sustly Business Solutions came in today and broke down exactly what an Online Business Manager does, how to get into it, and why your current experience is probably way more transferable than you think. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 🎯 The OBM role comes down to 4 core areas: 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀. And when you understand how they connect, everything clicks. You 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 need a specific qualification or job title to get started. The skills you already have from organizing, communicating, and problem-solving in your current role? That's the foundation right there 💡 The difference between a VA and an OBM is less about what you do and more about how you operate. OBMs lead and oversee. VAs do and support. Both are valuable, and a lot of OBMs started as VAs. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 from day one matters more than you think. Low rates attract the wrong clients. Confidence in your pricing signals confidence in your value 💰 And 𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘆, it actually makes everything easier. The more specific you are about who you help and what you do, the less you compete on price. A huge thank you to @Karen Daniels for showing up and delivering such a real, practical session! Scan the QR code below to connect with her. Whether you need an OBM or want to become one. 😉 The full replay is now available in the Remote Income Skills Library 🙌 HERE Drop a 💜 below if this is a path you're curious about! @Stephanie Gee would also love to hear your main takeaways. 😊

@Stephanie Gee Thankyou for getting up so early! I'm so pleased I could squeeze everything in and it still made sense 😅

One thing I can help others with: translating medical and clinical language into plain, readable copy. After 20+ years as an RN, I've learned how to take dense healthcare terminology and make it actually make sense to real people. If anyone is working with healthcare or wellness clients and needs a gut check on the content, I can definitely help. One thing I would love support on: learning which online project management and communication tools are actually worth using in real freelance life. Notion, Airtable, Monday, ClickUp, and even video messaging tools like Loom alternatives... there are so many options and I want to hear from people who are using them daily, not just in theory. What works, what doesn't, and what did you wish someone told you before you wasted time on the wrong one? I am still learning a LOT.

ClickUp - love love love it! Didn't get on well with Monday or Notion but I did like Asana. I also use Loom (for screen recording processes for SOPs - Scribe is good for this too), not sure about alternatives though.
How to become an Online Business Manager with the skills you already have
POV: you're scrolling job boards at 11pm wondering how on earth people make money online without a degree, without a "niche", without some crazy talent… Meanwhile, businesses are literally out here begging for someone to come in and just… organize their chaos. 😭 Most online businesses are held together by duct tape 🫠 Founders are drowning. They KNOW they need help but they don't have time to even hire someone. That person who comes in and saves the day? That's an Online Business Manager. And it might literally be you. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼: ✨ Loves a good system ✨ Notices when things could be more organized ✨ Has been the "go to person" at every job you've ever had ✨ Gets a weird satisfaction from a color coded spreadsheet 📊 You might already have everything you need to do this 👀 This Friday I'm hosting @Karen Daniels, an actual OBM, inside Remote Income School. She's gonna walk us through what this role really is, how she got into it, and how YOU can spot the skills you already have and turn them into a paid online service. 💸 🗓️ 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟮𝗻𝗱 ⏰ 𝟭𝟬𝗔𝗠 𝗔𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 Find the link to join HERE 👉 Add it to your own Calendar as well. Drop a 🙋‍♀️ in the comments if you're joining live, I wanna see who's coming!

✨ CLARITY TASK #4: Design Your Ideal Lifestyle
It’s not just about building a business you love… It’s about building a life you actually enjoy living. 🌍 Because what’s the point of making money online if your lifestyle still doesn’t feel good? 💡 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 (𝟱–𝟭𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘀) Let’s zoom out for a second. 👉 If money wasn’t an issue…what would your ideal day or week actually look like? Don’t overthink it. Just imagine. 🧠 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁: - Where are you living? - What does your morning look like? - How many hours do you work? - What kind of work are you doing? - Who are you spending time with? - What does your freedom look like? ✨ 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀? Your business should support your lifestyle…not the other way around. This is how you avoid building something that: - burns you out - doesn’t fit your life - or doesn’t actually make you happy 👇 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 Complete this sentence and drop it in the comments: 👉 “If money wasn’t an issue, my ideal day/week would look like: …” 🎯 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 At the end of this month, we’re doing a Challenge Wrap-Up Session 🎯 That’s where we’ll: - reflect on everything you’ve worked on - bring clarity to your next steps - and I’ll personally help you move forward 👉 You’ll unlock access once you reach 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟑 So stay active and share your progress. 💥

@Bianca Vogelaar after a big thunderstorm yesterday, it's flooded again 🤣 Half of it is currently mud as we're preparing to build a boardwalk around the little pond! But its a modest new build square.. nothing fancy 😅 it needs more plants and time to really establish
✨ CLARITY TASK #3: Define the Problem You Solve
EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A BUSINESS > ALWAYS GOOD TO GO BACK TO THIS EVERY NOW AND THEN. You don’t need more ideas. You need clarity on the problem you solve. Because no clear problem = no content, no clients, no money. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁: ❌ “I help with social media” ✅ “I help restaurants get more customers on slow weekdays using Instagram” ❌ “I help with fitness coaching” ✅ “I help busy women lose 5kg without going to the gym” ❌ “I help with mindset” ✅ “I help beginner entrepreneurs stop overthinking and take action on their business ideas” ✨ 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸: (𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘀) We’re turning your ideas into a clear positioning statement. 𝙎𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙖: 👉 I help [WHO] 👉 Who struggle with [PROBLEM] 👉 So they can [RESULT] 🤖 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂: First, give chatgpt details about your niche (ideal client) + service you offer. Copy the prompt, fill in the blanks, and drop it into ChatGPT 👇 Prompt: I want to create a clear and specific positioning statement. Here’s my context: - Who I want to help: [WHO] - What they struggle with: [PROBLEM] - What they want instead: [RESULT] Based on this: 1. Create 5 different versions using:“I help [WHO] who struggle with [PROBLEM] so they can [RESULT]” 2. Make them specific and clear (not vague or generic) 3. Keep them simple and realistic 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗬𝗢𝗨: Pick your favorite sentence and refine it: 👉 “Make this more fun and catchy” > of course change this to whatever makes sense to your niche. 👇 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻: Write your version and drop it in the comments.

I help purpose-led founders/business owners create calm, resilient operations so they can grow their impact without getting overwhelmed. (I've been working on this recently 😅)

@Bianca Vogelaar ooooh interesting, you're the only one that's raised this. I guess my close network all work in ESG and its a specific business type in our industry 😅 I could change to something like... I help founders who care deeply about building environmentally and socially responsible businesses simplify the messy back end - so things feel calmer and more in control day-to-day.
