Self case study, introduction
Hi all, I'm a neurodivergent self directed learner who's using tVNS for PTSD and also toying with transcranial Ultrasound for adhd symptoms. So far my hrv has been improving and my RHR is great.

Thank you for sharing! I don’t have a device yet but I’ve done a lot of vagus toning via breath, movement, voice, mind approaches - also an ADHDer with ptsd - and I have already greatly improved many anxiety and adhd symptoms as well as 16 years of chronic pain. This work is amazing. Up next is looking at a device. Thank you for posting your story!

@Nathan Organ hope all is well! I am curious if you are looking at both of the HRV numbers the oura gives. Your screen shot looks like the oura screen. I was poking around mine and there is the ‘average’ and the ‘max’ to looks at. Just wondering if you e already had some thoughts about this.

@Sterling Cooley you were not kidding! The information in the classroom is comprehensive, clear, and very efficient. No BS or fluff at all. Also, very visually well presented. As an ADHDer I really appreciate the bite-size/iness of the information here. The individual pages of each classroom are so organized that I know where to go back to for specific information: I can see this information being easily printable into a booklet with tabs for in-hand use. I absolutely learned about things I didn’t know about but I’d also love to add some resources and ideas if you are up for it. Thank you for organizing this. I am very impressed and am hoping I can share this resource with my people. I am playing with the idea of starting my own un-business, or coaching/support for others starting this work. I am not interested in instagram or social media platforms though and more than anything want to be a side-by-side support for others. Really appreciate what you’ve done here.

@Sterling Cooley quick question - is it ok to start our own post for conversation?
How to Open Up Access To Level 1 ⚡ & Level 2 🔊 (Super Easy!)
I want you to feel like you earned it, and to remind you, that it's extremely possible that if you work on the fundamentals, that you can get better. Better in your Health, Better in your Energy, Better in Everything. In the Classroom, there are Three Modules open to you right now: 1) Vagus Nerve Stimulation 101 🌟🌟🌟 2) Advanced Breathing Techniques 🌬️🌬️🌬️ 3) Nutrition for Vagal Vitality 🥑🥑🥑 Knowing what the Vagus Nerve is, and how Breathing & Nutrition play a tremendous role, are key to making even things like Electrical & Ultrasound Stimulation work *Better* than if you eat junk food, don't move, and have zero idea what the Vagus Nerve actually does... So, here's how you can open up Access to Level 1: Simply Achieve Level 1 by Making a Skool account her on Vagus Skool - it's that easy! Everyone starts at Level 1, and you will get instant access to: Module 4: ⚡ Electrical VNS Module 5: 🐉 Vagal Theories & Research Module 8: 💪 Movement & the Vagus Nerve All absolutely amazing modules - and yeah, you just login to Skool, and your Level 1 Starter will instantly unlock them. "But it must be so hard to get Level 2!!!" Nope! Not at all. Level 2 Can be accomplished with liking the pinned posts, and making a comment on the first pinned post - basically - interacting can get you there. But also, marking the Modules complete as you read through them. You can get to Level 2 easily within a few days of reading, it shouldn't take you that long. Here's what you get in Level 1, in the Electrical Stimulation Module: Links to the BEST line of Electrical Vagus Nerve Stimulator Systems, and how to use them. And here's what you get with Level 2, in the Ultrasound Vagus Nerve Stimulation Module: Links to the BEST Ultrasound VNS Devices in the world, right now, for directly stimulating your Vagus Nerve. It's absolutely phenomenal, and I seriously think you should work your way up there. And of course, anytime you want to share a Progress Update, you can make a post on the Wall, and I might Feature you in the Pinned Section, to help Celebrate your Epic Wins!!!

@Brett Fogle I will say that as a perimenopausal female, vagus nerve work is helping me manage and regulate all the symptoms associated with this stage of a woman’s biological journey.

VNS and autism
Hi Sterling I have a 25 yr old autistic son who is nonverbal from vaccines injury. How can I help him speak thru VNS and ultra sound?

Hi Kathleen, have you come across the work of Steven Porgess and the Safe and Sound Protocol or his newer Rest and Restore protocol? Both are vagus nerve toning and regulation approaches through the act of listening to filtered music. My own autistic kiddo was not able to access it because she wasn’t willing to do the listening, but my older son is working on ARFID an and has benefitted from these approaches. The other central nervous system resolve for autistic support is definitely the work of Mona Delahooke. Her books are gray at laying out the underlying factors for behavior and the nervous system and her work is directly targeting co-regulation of nervous system. I also would recommend the work of Dr.Cat and Primal Trust program for nervous system regulation and vagus techniques - but again this program would be more suited for the adults around a nonverbal autistic person especially a child. I am personally looking into biofeedback practitioners to support autism and ARFID but it’s harder to Find these. I sure am hoping this work advances quicker and we have more great options soon.

I teach, learn, and love to move a lot. Breathing is changing my body-mind like nothing else and I’m eager to keep at it.
