Study tips?
So besides medialab practiceexams what else would you recommend using? I just failed the first time on the ascp exam and i was wondering if there were other resources you recommend. I have the BOC ASCP study guide book and highlight everything but i didn't really like using it but im thinking about reading it again

I’ve been using a free site called PASS ASCP and it’s pretty good for recall. I also have ChatGPT study with me.

I got a job!
Got a job about a month after graduating. The pay is what I was looking for for my area, actually a bit more and chances for raises. The team and lab supervisor seem really great! Once I pass the ASCP (taking it the second week of July) I get an extra dollar an hour!

I find practice exams from the ASCP BOC to be more helpful than MediaLab. MediaLab has more obscurity and odd wording. However, their pictures are better. For me personally, I find taking practice exams I learn mode along with graphics helps me the most.

First Attempt MLT ASCP
Hi all, I took my boards yesterday and FAILED! I kind of had a suspicion that I would and once I started seeing the questions I began having doubts. The way school trains us and the sites we use to practice are way more in depth then the actual exam. I don’t have my score yet, so curious to see my weak spots. I’m just still very confused at how complex all of our practice questions and exams are vs. the real deal. Unless, I never got passed easy questions. It felt more like a definitions exam or terminology rather than analytics. Anyway, I’ll take it again but I’m not stressed anymore about it. Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

@Marilyn Virgo I just got the approval to rebook to take the exam again. I’m planning to schedule it in August. I want to map out a plan to study using the materials I have and not the websites because I no longer have access. I have the 7th edition ASCP BOC review book and the purple and yellow Bottom Line book. Along with all of the PowerPoints and notes I’ve taken. Can you guide me on where to begin. I know I need to focus on Heme and Chem, but don’t want to create deficits in the topics I did well in.

Yesterday I made the appointment for my exam. It’s in 2 months. Need tips and tricks lol. I’m scared to fail again bc i failed my first time back in october 2024. If you guys have mnemonics that helped you! Please
