Hi all. Who is winter-vanlifing in The Netherlands? I’m here all alone celebrating my birthday this weekend, (01/11) and would love some Campfire some place. Who’s in? Where to park? Anywhere between Enschede and Zoetermeer is fine.

What started as an online community is becoming a tangible thing. We’re currently hosting our first official The Vanlife Network meetup for our main community (10 vans and more arriving today!) 🔥 In there we host live calls twice a week (aka Digital Campfires) for us to connect and offer a map feature so we can meet up in real life and gather around a real campfire. Yes, vanlife can feel lonely, especially when the rain starts falling, the cold sets in, and the nights grow longer. Whether you’re parked up alone or surrounded by seniors in white campervans watching satellite dish TV, you can use this sign as a “feel free to knock” invitation, even if your blinders are closed due to cold or privacy. Let fellow vanlifers know you’re open to sharing a coffee, a beer, or merely the view. Enjoy a good conversation, make some music, or learn a fun (and maybe useless) skill together 🙃 Feel free to knock!
