Back in one of my most beautiful spots, where I can be alone in peace and quiet. Enjoying the sound of the waves and the smell of the river. I had to check first if I could get there, and reversing into a parking space in the dark without getting stuck was a bit nerve-wracking. But it went well. Now, it's time to enjoy it.

Vanlife meeting in the cold and snow in the Netherlands. After a 16 km walk yesterday, I drove to this parking lot just outside Bronckhorst. We bought a few bottles of Bronckhorst brewery's special beer for the evening. Super tasty, aged in whiskey barrels. This morning I saw snow falling, not a lot, but still nice enough to take some drone photos.

I just realized I never properly introduced myself here in the Vanlife Community 😅 So nice to meet you all! My name’s Laurens, originally from Vlissingen, the Netherlands, but for the past five years I’ve been living a more nomadic life, exploring different corners of Europe. For the last three and a half years, I’ve been full-time on the road in my rolling home — Buster, a trusty 4x4 Mercedes Sprinter. In April 2025, I joined The Vanlife Network, and it’s been such a great addition to my journey. The Digital Campfire calls quickly became my favorite part — meeting so many like-minded souls who’ve since become real friends and road family.
