Riding SMART Chapter 1: What Did You Get Wrong?
Five gear items. Non-negotiable before the motorcycle moves. Swipe through the breakdown — then tell me in the comments: Which one did you skip when you started?

Since I first started watching DanDantheFireman's YouTube channel, and only then I finally decided that I wanted to get bikes driver's license, I bought all the necessary protective equipment: shoes, jacket, pants, helmet and gloves, and only then I started learning, with all equipment. Daniel's videos helped to understand well what risks are taken when starting to ride a motorcycle
Crew Update – Internal Certifications (Early Test Phase)
Hey Crew, During the crew meeting yesterday, I talked about something I’m starting to test out: internal crew certifications, beginning with Basic Control. This is very early-stage and experimental. Nothing is official yet — we’re simply testing the idea and seeing how it lands with you all. Basic Control – Proficiency Rules (Test Phase) How it works - Each proficiency requires completing all 5 drills in order - Drills must be completed back-to-back as one proficiency attempt - You may complete it in: Attempts - You get up to 3 attempts per drill - A run = one full attempt at the drill - If you fail all 3 attempts on a drill, the proficiency attempt resets Failure conditions (any of the following fail the run) - Hitting or knocking over a cone - Missing or not following the drill design - Putting a foot down - Dropping the bike Order matters - Drills must be completed in the listed order - Doing drills out of order fails the proficiency, even if each drill is clean Important notes - Speed is not graded - This is about control, consistency, and clean execution - Take breaks as needed — rushing usually causes resets I’ll be working on a video series soon where I actually show how a Basic Control certification would work step by step. Once that’s out, this will make a lot more sense. For now, consider this a heads-up post and a place to gather early thoughts. If it feels fuzzy right now, that’s okay — just hang tight until the video examples are up. Appreciate you all helping me pressure-test this before anything becomes “real.” Good luck @Elad Best !

Thoughts on the Grom
Is a Grom a good bike to practice basics on or should I stick to something with more cc?

the most important thing is that it suits you personally and you like it, less or more cc doesn't matter. Everyone is different and the choice may be different, it is important that this bike suits you.
