Storm Aftermath
The recent storms here in SEQ have left a trail of destruction. This is just on of the trees in our paddocks that looks like someone went through and just snapped the trees off. Sort of like you might snap off a piece of grass, or a small weed. And just 'cause he's pretty, here's also Midget. Couldn't stand still long enough to wait for me to take a pic, lol.

The place is starting to look bare, with the amount of trees down 😅 Rosie and Harry's paddock is looking very open now. Rosie came and gave me lots and lots of cuddles this morning! If i took a step back, she stepped forward towards me 😍 She hasn't been this affectionate for a long time. Could have been because i was chasing all the little flies off her to 😂

Musings on a Monday morning
I wonder how many people grew up thinking they had something wrong with them because they couldn't quite get things together, but were mostly functional enough that it seemed to just be a behavioural flaw? If only they would try hard enough, have enough discipline, stop wasting time, then they would be organised, successful and fit in...

I struggled with everything at school, always felt awkward around friends, like i didn't fit in. I suppose it didn't help that dad would always point out my bad points, I can't remember him ever praising me for anything. His remark about my report card at school was, "you're getting worse as you get older, not better" and basically he said all i was good for (later in life) was having kids

Naked Neck chicken
This chicken is sooo cute. She is a naked neck crossbred with one of the feathered feet chickens to produce a mini pterodactyl who is very wary of her surroundings. She is always running off to hide. I've included a pic of our rooster too who is also a naked neck.
