I'll be in and out all day answering. You don't have to keep up with the clock, jump in whenever you start. Before you start Three recipes, pick your lane: 🥨 Classic yeasted, the fast one, about two hours start to finish 🌾 Sourdough, the flavor play, for those who fed a starter 👧 Kids version, simple bites, pull the little ones in All three are in the Recipe Pantry. The one thing every single one of them needs: the baking soda bath. That's what makes a pretzel a pretzel. Today's rhythm 🕐 Mix and rest your dough 🕑 Shape, don't fight the gluten, let your ropes rest in rotation 🛁 Thirty seconds in the bath, quick in, quick out 🔥 Bake at 425 until deep golden brown 🧈 Butter the second they leave the oven, salt while wet so it sticks Drop in the comments 📸 Your dough, your shaping, your bakes, all of it ❓ Any question, no matter how small 🆘 Stuck? @Dan Hart Wrap in plastic then foil then on freezer. Probably overkill but works for me sourdough freezes well it magical stops the taking process and if you slice you can go from freezer to toaster directly no problem. I put them in a beeswax bread bag into freezer.

I've been heads-down building new recipes for the Recipe Pantry this week, getting everything ready for the holidays. Then I came across this photo from last year. This is my cranberry walnut chocolate chunk sourdough. Just look at it. Tart cranberries against that open crumb. Toasty walnuts folded throughout. Pockets of dark chocolate that turn soft and gooey when you warm up a slice. This is the loaf that tastes like December. ❤️ I'm not giving it all away just yet. But when holiday baking season rolls around, you're going to have some new recipes waiting for you. I can't wait to share them. 🎁 Tell me in the comments. I always start with pumpkin sourdough loaf
Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies
I was craving for cookies and decided to bake some chocolate chip cookies. I added some chopped walnuts to it. I wanted to play around in my safe and happy place, my kitchen. I decided instead of individual cookies why not a bar cookies and easy peasy and less work as it is steamy and hot here. I was going to cut them smaller, but on second thoughts I decided not too. The dough was very short and crumbly. I opted to cut them larger. So, I can cheat and say I ate one, but infact I ate 2 cookies. This is portion control at it's best. 🤣 Here is the recipe if you would love to try it. The whole house is smelling like a chocolate walnut bar right now. If only I could just inhale and not eat it to lose some weight. Temptation is at play which is no good.
