Peptide Spotlight: Ultratrutide GLP-4 - Metabolism
Metabolic Signaling | Appetite • Glucose • Energy Balance • Body Composition I've saved this peptide for last intentionally. Because this is probably the product that will generate the most interest. And it is also the one I will approach with the most caution. If you have followed me for any length of time, you already know that I have major concerns about the way GLP-1 medications are being used in the current weight-loss culture. Not because GLP-1 biology is inherently bad. It isn't. GLP-1 is a hormone your own body produces, and FDA-approved GLP-1-based medications have demonstrated meaningful benefits for appropriately selected patients with obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and other metabolic conditions. My problem is with the idea that: “You're overweight, therefore let's shut off your appetite.” Because obesity is not simply excessive hunger. And diabetes is not simply eating too much. If we suppress food intake without addressing the physiology underneath the problem, we can create an entirely new set of problems. Muscle loss. Inadequate protein. Micronutrient insufficiency. Dehydration. Constipation. Poor recovery. Loss of strength. Reduced metabolic capacity. Those are not imaginary concerns. They are precisely why I believe metabolic therapy has to be paired with nutrition, muscle preservation, hydration, movement, and ongoing assessment. So before we talk about Ultratrutide, we need to talk about the system it is attempting to influence. First: What does GLP-1 normally do? GLP-1 stands for Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Your intestinal cells naturally release GLP-1 after eating. It helps coordinate several things at once: • Glucose-dependent insulin secretion • Glucagon regulation • Gastric emptying • Satiety • Appetite signaling between the gut and brain In other words, GLP-1 is part of the body's normal “Food has arrived. Here's how we should handle it.” signal. That is useful physiology. But pharmacologic GLP-1 receptor agonists can produce a much stronger and longer-lasting signal than the brief pulses of native GLP-1 produced after a meal.

@Cathy Weaver for our conversation on Thursday. Note though that the link above is Leanna‘s I have a separate link for you if we determine this is something appropriate for you and we move forward.
Guided 72–84 Hour Fast (Gut + Immune Reset)
Hey Bedrock Nation — if you’re feeling puffy, inflamed, snacky, or like you need a clean “reboot,” this is one of my favorite tools to reset the terrain. ✅ I just uploaded our Guided 72–84 Hour Fast handout. It walks you through: - Why 72+ hours matters (gut microbiome + immune reset signals) - The stages of fasting (what’s happening in your body at 0–12, 12–24, 24–48, 48–72+ hours) - What to expect (hunger waves, energy shifts, brain fog → clarity) - Electrolyte strategy to make this feel doable - How to break the fast correctly so you don’t wreck your gut or digestion - A simple Sunday → Thursday 84-hour schedule you can follow Important: This is designed as a true guided protocol — not just “not eating.” Your plan matters. 🔗 Download the handout here: 🧂 Electrolytes we recommend: Hydrate, SALTT or our DIY electrolyte recipe "ketoraid" and possibly, IDLife LOAD or I AM Aminos for muscle support (see your team member for help) Before you start — comment below with: 1. Your start date (Mon is my favorite) 2. Your fasting goal (bloating, cravings, insulin resistance, autoimmune flare reset, etc.) 3. Your biggest concern (headaches, low energy, sleep, social events) I’ll be watching the thread and coaching you through the common speed bumps. 🤍— Leanna For more understanding on the how and why of fasting take the FREE mini course by clicking on the classroom tab above!
