Day #1 Better late than never...
My loop was "calling my Aunt to check in on her" and I did it today. Feels good. But, instantly I told myself I needed to do "more" - I needed to go see her, the call wasn't enough. I resisted because I did talk to her for 45 minutes and I had things I wanted to do.

Late Diagnosis / Finally Understanding Myself
I think one of the strange parts of finally understanding ADHD is mentally revisiting my entire life with a different lense than before. Things I thought were laziness, irresponsibility, oversensitivity, inconsistency, or just personal defects suddenly start to make sense, to a degree. Not fully. Still working through that. It doesn’t erase the consequences, good or bad that happened, but it does help to change the story I tell myself about why things happened or didn't happen. Especially, after working with the ADHD Harmony community, JT, 5 day challenge, 6 week session, etc. Impulse Control was one of many things that I had/have issues with. I am on some medication that helps with the impulse control, but it still requires a little willpower. Conquered, no! Progress, yes! So I can see small wins there. What part of your past made the most sense once ADHD entered the picture? Diagnosed or undiagnosed but check the boxes of an ADHD diagnosis.

Eye Opening - Find your water
In AI I said "talking to my husband about my decisions feels like a foreign language", and now I know why. I come home talking about what I tried. He's reading whether it worked. Also my list of things I've tried has no apps on it, just books, courses, coaches, prayer. All of it asking someone else to tell me I'm okay. Basically I am looking for someone else to tell me I am enough. I need to learn how to tell myself I am.

@Linda Trup I told him that next time I come home in that situation I will let him know what I need - a hug and support - and that he doesn't need to fix things. Hopefully it is a better experience.

REPLAY IS UP, DAY 1 WAS 🔥
MAKE SURE TO READ THIS! I started with asking a question: how familiar is this cycle? New thing, two weeks of hype, one missed day, shame, quit. Almost every answer was a 10. If that's you, Day 1 is the most important 27 minutes of your week (and probably more then that ;) By the end you'll know why nothing you tried has ever stuck. Not the apps, not the planners, not the courses. And why that was never a discipline problem, and never a you problem. You'll also meet the model behind this whole week: the gap between your current self and the future self you stopped daring to imagine. ▶️ Watch the replay here. Missed the live session? Good, read this twice: This is exactly the moment the old pattern whispers "I'm already behind." Missing a session is human. Disappearing is the pattern. That pattern is the thing we're breaking this week, so press play tonight. And tomorrow it gets uncomfortable. Day 2 is called Your Invisible Cage: masking, people pleasing, overachieving, and who you actually are underneath. For a lot of people this is the day things start to shift. It builds directly on Day 1, so watch the replay before then. We're live again tomorrow at 18:00 CEST · 17:00 UK · 12:00pm ET · 9:00am PT · 02:00 next day AEST. 👇 Comment REPLAY to commit and let us know you will watch it. If you finished day 1, let us know your biggest insights. With love, 💛 Jim
