One of our lovely members, @Lizzie Cooke, has kindly given me permission to sharethe situation she currently finds herself in. The big raging fires in Almería, Spain, are not far from where her community and friends live. The latest news from her is encouraging. She and her friends are safe, the fire is moving north, and the wind is expected to calm overnight. We're all hoping that continues. If it feels right to you, perhaps you could hold Lizzie, everyone affected, the emergency services, the families who have lost loved ones, the animals and wildlife, and Gaia herself in your thoughts or prayers today. As Lizzie so beautifully said: "It would be great if people can send love to those who lost loved ones and all the animals and wildlife and Gaia. 💗" Whatever your beliefs, may we take a quiet moment to send love, courage, protection and healing to everyone in the fire's path. ❤️ Much love to you all and thanks in advance! xx

When the seven stars of the Matariki cluster (the Pleades) rise in the Midwinter sky, is when New Year is celebrated in New Zealand. We are so cool down here that we have an actual astronomically/ astrologically timed New Years festival. And I made a cake. Will freaking wonders never cease? With all of our love to yous, who are all, without exception north and northerer of here. On this little planet, it is not very hard to be north of here unless you are a penguin. Something that hit me, way back an aeon or so ago when 2026 got its boots on and jumped out of bed– someone said "Keep a 2026 diary".. This is not going to happen again. So I did. In my inimitable way.-- In both Chinese, English and my own weird kind of poetry. Because I adore writing poems that do not actually have much in the way of words. I think I am the only one who feels like this. All the other birds in the nest look at me oddly and throw the “cuckoo” word around. Yeah I definitely have some Aries and Mr Chironpants issues. Not to mention houses, One, Two, Three and Four. Sigh. More weirdness landed this week. I timestamp my diary entries, and sign them, because this is a diary. And I am writing it. But today, for no apparent reason I wrote for someone. Specifically for my dead brother.. And for my dead mum.
