Outdoor Workout Setups!
Folks!! I used to like grabbing resistance bands and tying them off on our deck railing and enjoying the good weather! I wanna know what other folks' creative setups are for outdoor "gyms"!

I used Nossk Cyclone trainer attached to a soccer goal post at a field nearby, then flipped a tractor wheel that was lying around, and capped it off with resistance bands. A couple of winos sitting by the field thought I was a psycho for sure.
Welcome to Hybrid Resistance Training
This is where I’ll be organizing how I actually approach training across different tools, programming, special courses, and building a community of likeminded trainees. Most people get stuck thinking they need one “best” method. For me the goal is to combine not only what works, but also apply it in a way that’s practical and sustainable long term. Inside here I’ll be sharing: - Training ideas and setups - How I use bands, cables, sliding bench trainers, machines, and free weights together - Answers to your questions as they come up - Foster a Community 👉 Feel Free to Introduce yourself below (or on another post) and let me know what equipment you’re currently using (bands, Total Gym/sliding bench, dumbbells, etc.) That’ll help me shape what I share in here moving forward. Community Guidelines • Be respectful and encouraging. • Constructive discussion is always welcome, but personal attacks and negativity are not. • Remember that different training methods can all be effective. Keep an open mind and respect that others may have different goals, preferences, and experiences. • Share your successes, ask questions, and help others whenever you can. To get things started: Questions? Feel free to post your questions in the community. One of the best parts of this group is learning from each other's experiences, and often another member may have already solved the same problem you're facing. I'll jump into discussions and answer questions whenever I can, but I won't always be available or able to respond to every post personally. If you're looking for more individualized guidance, I'll be opening additional one-on-one consultation opportunities in the future. You can also reach me at: 📧 Mike@HybridResistance.com The information shared within this community is intended for educational purposes only and reflects my professional opinions and personal experience. Always consult your physician or another qualified healthcare professional before beginning any exercise program.

Hi, I'm JP and I work as a coach. I am based in Finland, I am 45, and never been in what you could call "shape". A chubby kid, never been into sports, etc... Helping others fulfill their dreams and goals is my game, so I decided to apply it myself and fulfill an "impossible dream" I've had as long as I can remember: to get lean and build muscle. I never understood the lean part of it, thinking it was somehow impossible for me to actually lose fat. Now I've been on that journey for about a month (after building my office gym a year ago, training 3 x a week) and seeing - yes, actually seeing - results. Due to my inclincation to philosophise, I think I discovered a "secret" that seems to keep many people in a rut in this sense. Anyway...my "Integral Gym" is equipped with: - Power rack, olympic barbell + plates, EZ bar - PowerBlock Sport 9.0 up to 22,5 kg - Concept 2 RowErg - various resistance bands & off brand bars - wooden band plate (custom made by my dad) - NOSSK pulley trainer - gymnastic rings - OptiGym treadmill for walking - stationary bike that I rarely use - Cable tower (plate loaded) - Total Gym 1000 (pretty much the only model they imported to Finland back in the day) - mini fridge! I'll be adding a leg extension (plate loaded) machine sometime soon.
Eat before workout??
Hey everyone! Just about to do a pull day, but I just felt like a quick bowl of oatmeal before, so thought I'd get this party started. Anybody else eat beforehand? Why/why not?? (apologies Mike if I'm jumping the gun)

I noticed a difference when I committed to losing weight & bodyfat a month ago. I lift around 3 pm, and currently eat chicken & salad (not a chicken salad, but chicken & salad...) around noon. If I don't add rice for lunch, my energy is too low for workout. So on the days I do lift, I add rice to the light lunch, and have some raisins or a banana before workout.
