Oopsie, better late than never 📮 Why We Write P.S. Did you know… P.S. comes from the Latin phrase post scriptum, meaning "written after." Before emails and editing buttons, once a letter had been signed and folded, there wasn't an easy way to go back and add another paragraph. So if the writer suddenly remembered one last thought, secret, or important detail, they'd add it at the end with: P.S. Some letters even had: P.P.S. (post-post scriptum) and occasionally P.P.P.S.! Historians have found that the P.S. was often the most personal part of the letter—the little thing the writer almost forgot to say. 💬 Question of the Week Be honest… Are you a:

@Leatta Leake Not weird! Last night I had dinner with 10 friends and we stood outside the restaurant for 30 minutes saying our goodbyes, then walked to our cars and yakked for another 40 minutes. 😂

During the 𝗦𝗶𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟴𝟳𝟬, ordinary mail couldn't leave the city by road. So thousands of letters were carried out by 𝙝𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙞𝙧 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙣, floating over enemy lines to reach waiting friends and families. 🎈📮 It's one of the most remarkable chapters in postal history—and proof that people have always found a way to stay connected through handwritten letters. @Julie Burns Thank you! 🙏🏼. We’re over here fighting with everything we’ve got. It’s disheartening when people from other countries are like “Do something!!!” Which is much easier to say when your entire country fits into the space of Maryland. Not an easy task getting 350 million people spread over 4 million square miles and four time zones on the same page at the same time. We’re fighting at the state level. The tide is turning community by community. We MUST win. The alternative is terrifying. We still have people who are being ostriches “this is the USA, that isn’t here!” but it is. None of us are safe.
What made your week, what inspired you, what made you smile
For me, this week was cracker night in the NT, it still brings out the magic and it is also a public holiday for our show and it raining ☔️ in central Aust. And gracefulness and gloating wear the same coat it’s just depends on how you dress it up or down

I LOVE fireworks! I had to look up “Cracker Day”, and had to laugh that they made a day for something normally illegal. July 4th is Independence Day here in the US, and it’s much the same here. The legality of fireworks varies by location. But on the 4th people shoot them off anyways. There are big tents selling fireworks along the highways. Some states prohibit sales, so folks just drive to another state to buy them. Ha! This year our family gathered in Yorktown, where our independence was won, and we were able to watch from the lawn of the hotel. It was magical!
